If you need a new mixer, THIS IS THE ONE!
First I let me say that I have used Kitchen Aid Professional Grade mixers for the last 30 years, so when we moved and my mixed did not 'somehow' make the truck, well, you can guess that I was rather upset. I cook alot - with a lot of baking. I just could not myself to spend another 700$ for a new mixer just before XXmas and after an expensive move. So I was looking for a different answer - I saw this and why not try it - if I hated it, I could return it, right? BUT this is marvelous - heavy cookie dough, med weight batters for pound cakes - and the best whipped cream I have ever made. This mixer is weird looking but the double beating heads are great - egg whites whip up beautifully for meringues. creaming sugar and butter is a snap and heavy cream goes to the best whipped cream in just a minute or two (depending on the quality of the cream - make your own butter - not that much time).I will not be replacing this 600 Watt mixer with the old fashioned Kitchen Aid lift mixer EVER!!This easy to clean - pull everything apart and put on top rack in the dishwasher - wipe the base off with a cloth - how wet depends on you.I have made bread, sour ream pound cake, whipped cream, candy, butter cookies and more cookies. The only down side is the shipping time - took about 9-10 days - that needs to be much, much shorter. But Amazon has spoiled us with the 1*2 day prime delivery. And the lack of information regarding the shipping was disappointing - but now that you know - do not hesitate - BUY This mixer - you will not be disappointed after it arrives.Oh yes, the design is interesting and so easy to add ingredients while using; it fits under the counter cabinets or on a shelf for storage - it is very cool. Love it!

Great for Pizza Dough
I made Pizza dough a few time with the THRITOP mixer using the dough hook and so far it has worked great. The dough comes out a bit stickier than I would have expected, but it is extremely soft and well kneaded. Most of the time it forms a ball that goes around the edge and gets kneaded twice by the dough hook every revolution, in a similar fashion as shown in the video with the pink die. Once it bunch up close to the stem (I think this happens for bigger loads), but it still came out well kneaded. For reference, the Pizza dough I make is for 4 personal size pizzas: 500g of flour, 300g of water, 20g of olive oil, 10g of salt, and yeast. I tried scaling back the recipe to 200g of flour, and it worked fine.I tried making meringue with two egg whites, and it came out great as well. It was barely touching the egg until a bit of sugar was added. At a speed setting of 6 it gets fairly loud, but the whisks go around really fast. The motor seems to handle the work very well and the machine hardly gets hot. After making the pizza dough, the hottest part of the base was just above 100F.It came in a white unlabeled box (not as shown in the video) and the spatula is made of plastic and it is pretty useless. Other than that, it is as shown in the video and feels sturdy and of decent quality ... really good value for the price, as long as it lasts. Suction cups keep the machine in place and give it a nice feel.

Machine stops when kneading bread dough
I bought this mixer for it's unique design, its smaller size, and its ability to mix bread dough. I loved the machine when all I was mixing were cookies and cakes. But from the first time I tried to make bread using only 15.13 ounces of flour, it would not complete the kneading. It will run for about 5 minutes but stops and does not start again unless I wait a long while. It does not feel or smell hot, but it just stops. I've tried turning it off several times to scrape the dough off the center post during kneading to keep it going, but that doesn't help. The advertising video for bread shows the machine kneading the dough beautifully and impressively. There may be an error in the video when it shows printed on the screen “Maximum 7.5 pounds dough.” Maybe my 15.13 ounces (not quite a pound) of flour are actually more than it can handle, but I don’t think so since that’s only enough dough for 12 large cinnamon rolls. The dough, as far as it will knead, is much better than the dough I knead by hand, but the dying of the motor in the midst of the process is disappointing.Sadly, I didn't try to make bread with it until product support was unavailable. Maybe someone will have a suggestion to help. Maybe my machine is a lemon. I guess I'll never know unless THRITOP would like me to test another one. If that would happen, I would happily update this review. For now, the mixer I have is only good for mixing cookies, cakes and other light ingredients.

Died after minimal Usage
INITIAL REVIEW: Overall, this is a decent mixer for the price. It's easy top access to the bowl to add ingredients without the stem of a tilt-stand mixer being in the way is a nice feature. The negative comments regarding inadequately scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl are justified. I've discovered it helps to use this mixer for larger capacity recipes instead of small ones. It also helps to increase the speed of the mixer so that the dough bounces around more which helps to grab the ingredients along the sides and bottom of the bowl. So far, I've only used it for cookies and shortbread. Again, it worked better for sizeable recipes. It's also nice that most of the components are dishwasher safe.UPDATE: The mixer died after only 5 or 6 uses. The gears just stopped. Not sure what to do with it now. There doesn't seem to be any way to follow up. Very disappointing, especially for the price!
