I purchased two of these for the new CarPlay radio I installed in my vehicle to replace the out of date one so I could use it with my iPhone.With buying everything I did I wanted to get high quality cameras for the front and rear to see in the display. The price in some is not cheap at all so went with these for now.I installed stereo systems and alarms in my younger years so installing all this in the vehicle was quite easy for me having done it probably thousands of times.For the price of these license plate cameras I was really shocked on how good the picture quality is. Honestly amazed by how nice it is for the price.They have been on for about a month and have to say working great. My only only hopes are with them having a chrome finish they were chromed good when manufactured and it does not start to flake off.I do take care of my vehicle with maintenance and polishing it and waxing it 100%. I will of course use polish on them like I do on the chrome bumper my SUV has.If the chrome is really good and holds up that would be great, but if not with knowing how to paint vehicles and having all the stuff to spray using an air compressor. If the chrome does come off I will just strip them and paint them to match the front and back of the vehicle.Will I now buy the expensive cameras I was looking at originally? No I will not unless by some chance these do fail and picture quality does not last.I will try to update as many months go on with how they are after a cold winter and snow to see how the chrome holds up with getting salt on when they salt the streets when it snows. Then of course how picture quality is in the bitter cold of cold effects them.But so far so good and very happy and time will tell how they hold up in months to come and how they will be in the winter and when Spring comes.

Pros - Really like that it was chrome and that the camera was built as part of the license plat frame and not a separate camera. it adjusted easily and gave a good range. and it does blend well in with the fame. you know there is a camera there. But I feel it doesn't distract from it looks.Cons - for mounting instead of just holes it actually has bolt head shaped holes in it and didn't come with any bolts, screws, or some sort of caps to cover the bolt head holes with after you are able to find a screw or what ever you need to attach it to your vehicle.

DEFINITIVE ANSWER: If your image is upright... Up/Down is Ok... But your left is right and right is left... CUT THE WHITE WIRE. Boom! Done! It fixed mine. Now, otherwise... I would hesitate to call the workmanship shoddy but the camera mount on the plate is awfully loose. The supplied "manual" is just crappy, but, a keen eye reveals that the camera, as delivered, is set to be a front of the vehicle view. The silly little table does indicate that you can change it to a rear view by cutting the white wire in the loop. It's not obvious what they mean. They could have just said to cut that wire if your left is right and right is left. The image quality is just OK. Not particularly sharp but usable enough. No idea about the night vision... I don't expect too much since I've had several on this vehicle and none of them were any good at night. The license frame itself... sturdiness... plating... Both above average for the price range it competes in.

Replaced my old backup camera that got water in it. This is way more stable with the set screws and a better picture then the one that came with my double din

Attractive frame, good picture. Suggestion: attach the ground lead on the power supply wire pair. Sometimes you really don't have to but in this case the view screen might roll (like on the vertical hold adjustment on old tv) until it's grounded. Update July 2023: well the chrome plating has completely flaked off and it looks kinda nasty, however the camera still functions great. I'll just send the frame and paint it black. STILL worth what I paid for it:)
