Ok so here is my initial review of theses light bulbs i am going to have to one star them just because the motion detection is just so so i bought two packs a total of 4 bulbs because hey i thought they where going to be great i like probably some of you was going to buy auto switches but found these and said wow so much easier but anyway the bulbs work fine but the motion required to turn these on is not bad but heres the thing they kinda dim up slowly it might not be a big deal for some people but i wanted them to pop and the fact that the room pretty much has to be dark in order for them to come on is kinda bad no i know what do you expect from a light bulb well honestly a little more

***update below after I learned more about how it works - also updated to 5 stars.These bulbs are easy to install and easy to use, but you need to be patient. I am not sure if it is my area of installation, but they take a couple seconds to turn on each time I walk directly under them. I would expect them to come on immediately, and I wish they could be adjusted for sensitivity, but I guess to make them easier they have to draw the line somewhere :)So, I had this bulb over a table with a lot of clutter when I originally wrote this review. I then cleaned most of the clutter off of the table, and just like magic, they started working better, now they turned on almost immediately when coming into their field of view. Keep that in mind if you are a hoarder 😜I have also found that if the table is not there the field of view is even bigger. I guess, like I surmised, it did have to do with the area of installation.

Bulbs turn off and on for apparently no reason causing bulb life to be less than expected. Bulb is located in a closet and I have doors closed, but I see light going on and off through bottom of the door crack frequently. With door closed, I would expect no activity from light, and light to go on only when door opened and activity sensed. I think this is causing decrease light life and additional electricity usage (although being a LED is does help over Incandescent or CFL). Wondering if this is a bad batch, or if others have seen this undesired behavior as well.

works for my needs
I love these for my basement where there is laundry and cabinets we frequently use. so having these bulbs throughout my ceiling is great because they go on and then shut off so I don't have to worry about shutting them off. The only thing is I could use brighter light. The lights are dim. Not sure if that could be adjusted or I would need a higher one. But all in all they make me glad to have bought.

Good bulb for motion lighting
I put this in my unfinished laundry room fixture. It works & the light is bright enough. However, it turns on a little slower than anticipated. My last bulb turned on almost instantly, so I was surprised by the 3-5 second delay.

Perfect for houses with power struggles over the electric bill
Do you have a family member that gets upset when a light is left on? Is this a power struggle literally? Then this is the product for you! It goes out 2 minutes after you leave the room.Will it solve the power struggle over the mother-in-law? That's a big no. But it will enable you as a couple to develop a new power struggle, to replace "who left the f** light on?". This product is a win. Now me and my husband can fight over the thermostat instead.

Perfect for my intention.
They are working absolutely wonderful. The main reason I purchased this item is that I am getting tired of turning the light switch every time I have to walk up and down the staircase. Now, they are all working in automatic plus I also, I no longer have to remember to turn the lights out before going to bed. I am a happy customer. I hope these bulbs last for a long time. I wish there is a way to control the turn "on" duration.
