Light weight and slightly deeper.

No drain plug arrived even though it was included. The seller VirVentures was unhelpful, after emailing several days back and forth. Had to order another pan. I hope it's complete this time.***UPADTE*** 6-3-17After receiving the 2nd pan, this time with a drain plug and washer, I wanted to alter the review to reflect this. From 1 star to 4, ONLY because of the product! The seller was the same as before. So be aware, you may have the same issues with the missing drain plug and lose time.The pan is solid, and I think a great replacement for the original, since the original doesn't include a drain plug. I like to change my fluids at intervals in order prolong the life of my major components and those of my customers. Also note, this does not come with a magnet, so be sure to install one or transfer from the original pan.This pan was a great fit, and in fact slightly deeper than my original. The drain plug is exceptionally awesome... the washer/seal that it comes with is much beefier than a typical one, like those for engine oil plugs. The vehicle 86 S10 2.8ltr pickup. It has the pre Aux VB setup in the 700R4/4L60. So far no leaks either... I always use a rubber gasket over cork (they always split for me and end up leaking), and torque between 8-10 ftlbs. (don't over tighten either). I have to post an update on how it holds up. Will it rust prematurely? I live in the rust belt in the New England states.I bought this from the seller "VirVentures" but fulfilled by Amazon, which I feel is important to list this info. I've come across sellers with variances in their items, including knockoffs, even if listed as same brand.***UPDATE***3-2-20It's now been over 2 years since the install, and the pan still looks good as new. I can't say that for other pans I've gotten, such as the Dorman brand. You have to understand, I work on vehicles for a living, so I've tried many brands and try to look for quality or OEM when possible. Other pans purchased were usually engine oil pans, but a pan nonetheless and exposed to the same elements. Although others (brands) have come painted, you can feel the weight difference to this pan. Also, I'm mainly referring to the steel, not aluminum pans. So I can firmly say, I'd recommend this Transmission pan to anyone looking for a quality metal or construction as a replacement with a drain.

Love the pan had my doubts at first but once installed no leaks and looks amazing. With the new drain bolt changing the transmission fluid will be a lot easier now then before.

Description says stock fit which isn’t true it will need a thinner filter, therefore you are losing oil and cooling capacity. This isn’t good if you’re doing any kind of towing or carrying loads.

This fits, but is extremely shallow. It id NOT designed for the deep pan with the drop lip. Avalanche 1500 RWD. This does NOT hold the appropriate amount of ATF fir the vehicles with the tow package. Looks good and is solid, but don't purchase if you have the deep stock pan: RWD or otherwise.Also, broke the tip off of the ATF dipstick due to shallow pan not stock depth.

I was getting tired of removing the oil pan every time I wanted to do an ATF change. Old fluid destroys transmissions so I try to change mine regularly. Now I can do it in 15-20 minutes instead of 45 when I'd have to take the pan off, spill fluid everywhere, apologize to the neighbors for dropping so many F bombs around their children, and finally re-install the pan.Pros:-High quality construction.-Does not leak. I've had it installed for over a year. Not a drop has leaked.-Easy fluid drains-Corrugated waves increase surface area for added heat disbursement.Cons: None observed

This pan seems to be well made, other than it was bent where the gasket surface seals it to the transmission. A rubber hammer straightened it right out. Also it didn't come with the drain plug. A trip to Napa to pick up a 1/2x20 plug solved that. Also this pan doesn't have the magnet in it like the factory original. Overall, I'm happy with it so far.

Thick as the original. Came with a magnetic plug and a gasket. Very nice.
