Good take on a classic folk lore about a guitarist suspected of making a deal with the devil. Good acting all around. Great music and music scenes. An oldy but a goody.

I loved this movie. I am a music lover, and I just loved the guitar playing in the movie. The ending is awesome. If you like the blues, this movie if for you.

Ralph Macchio is a blues player and beats the Devils Own in a battle of lead guitars, If you haven't seen this one, you should!

I saw this movie in the 80s when it came out. Now I saw it again a few nights ago. They use a lot of language which I completely forgot about. Loved the music.

Oh you better not make a deal with the devil because you'll have to pay with your soul! Ralph Macchio spent a lot of time learning how to play guitar for this role as a classically trained guitarist finds trouble down in Mississippi at the crossroads, caught up in young love, feeling low, and ends up in a showdown for his soul! It's a movie that is fun for all members of the family. Love it!

Movie night pick!!

Very entertaining movie. Two great 80s cast members.

My brother and I watched this movie when we were kids and we were learning to play guitar, so this became one very important reference in our lives, this is totally a must if you like the music, specifically the blues, the rock, the jazz, totally recommended. I will show this movie to my future kids

約30数年前友人から勧められてビデオテープをレンタルして見た映画です。とても懐かしかったです。やはりギターの早弾きシーンは何度みても良いですね。音楽的には少しフレーズが古いのかもしれませんがクラッシック要素が強いため古さは感じられませんでした。
