Basically enamored with this
I am basically enamored with this lapdesk. I checked reviews for different lapdesks and brands for hours before finally playing eenie meanie miney mo and deciding to go with this one, hoping that it wouldn't end up in the pile of lapdesks in my closet which are ok, but for whatever reason just not doing it for me. I'M IN LOVE! It's a good size. I use it to do work in bed on lazy days. It is more than large enough to securely hold my Compaq laptop with plenty of space to spare. There are little tabs on the front which you can pull up if you use it with a laptop. They hold the laptop securely in place. I love this because with several other lap desks I've used, the computer slides off the front and I almost feeling like it's causing damage to the computer. If I don't have my computer in front of me, I can fold the front tabs back down flat. One side of the desk has a built in mouse pad which is pretty neat, and if you lift up the mouse pad, there is storage area. I use it to hold pens, cables and cords, and a bluetooth mouse. I pull the mouse out to use it and then stow it away. It would be nice if you could somehow fasten the flip door shut to store and move, but that's really a tiny thing. Maybe just a suggestion for a future model. The light is cool. It works well, although I personally don't use it much, really for no reason other than I don't share a room with anyone. If I am working, I leave the light on. The legs are sturdy and can be adjusted to accommodate your position, for storage they completely fold underneath so it is flat and takes up very little space. I store it vertically at my bedside. The ONLY thing that seems kind of odd about this lapdesk (and it is definitely not that big of an issue) are the multiple usb drives on the side of the lapdesk. The lapdesk comes with a cord that you plug into the desk and your computer, then you can plug a number of devices into the usb ports on the desk and they run off the power of the computer. In theory, that's awesome! I can always use extra usb ports. However, I have found that when I plug the cord into the desk and the other end into my computer, it confuses the computer. The computer does not recognize the device and it tends to slow my computer and freeze whatever programs I'm working on. So, I can't use these ports, which is fine because I already have chargers anywhere I use this and the lapdesk is perfect for me in every other way. Because that feature could have been awesome, but does not seem to work well, I rated this four stars; however, that is the only reason. If you don't care about plugging usb devices into your lapdesk (like me) this desk is GREAT!

Beat this thing up for 6 years. Finally I got the best of it.
I owned this laptop stand for around 6 years. My business is computer based so I really beat this thing up. I like to sit in my lounge chair while using this and found that just folding up the legs works best in that position...put a pillow under it to raise it to the perfect eye level while reclining because I don't like the legs digging into armrests? The key attributes that make me love this is there's room for the mouse on the right. On the left I use it for just whatever I need to have with me...credit cards, notes, book, etc...the cup holder for thumb drives and dongles. I even store things underneath it in elevated position. Something that could have been designed better for elevated angle positions is the little flaps at the bottom that keep the laptop from sliding downward. The flaps go just straight up but they need to curl around the front of the laptop to somewhat grab it otherwise it may try to flip upward on you. I just take to pieces of wide scotch tape and tape the flap to to front of my laptop to firmly secure it. I know...who wants to bother? And what if you want to remove the laptop. (I never do) I still love it! The mouse padding side on the right started pulling up after a few years so I finally just pulled up the padding and used my mouse without the pad (hard plastic surface). The last thing that caused me to by another is one of the flaps that keep the laptop from sliding downward broke. It is kind of big and bulky but relatively light. Vented well to allow fans on laptop to properly vent when necessary. Completely plastic except the steel rod that elevates the platform.

Better than I expected. . .
The DG Sports Multi-functional laptop table stand works well with my 15.6" laptop. It has a mini USB port on the left side (away from the mouse pad) for connecting with the included cable to a standard USB port on your laptop. There are four additional USB ports on the left side. At first I plugged my USB mouse into the right USB port on my laptop - but that made using the mouse clumsy. After plugging my mouse into one of the available ports on the laptop stand - I found the mouse pad to be more than adequate. After using the laptop for a while I decided that I better turn on the fan. While looking for a fan switch (there is none - it starts automatically if the stand is plugged into the USB port of your laptop) I found that the fan was running. It's whisper quiet. I put the requires 3 AAA batteries in the battery compartment - primarily for the light - but left it in the clips on the bottom edge of the right side as I doubt that I'll need the light for my laptop.I'm really happy with the purchase; and anticipate that the laptop stand is durable enough to last for as long as I need it.

An inch longer tabs for or better design for keeping/clamping the laptop in place, needs more laptop space.
I am a student and I bought this laptop so that I can use my laptop in bed to do my assignments and researches.I bought this item last week and received it a day earlier which was great. I like this product and could have given it a 5 star rating but I have some minor issues about this table stand. I have a 17 inch laptop and I guess it is a bit too thick for the two tabs that is supposed to keep my laptop from falling off the table when I adjust my laptops position even on the first of the four position levels it has. It keeps on sliding and jumping off. I have no other option but to set the position on the first level and keep on repositioning my laptop to not slide off. I just wished the tabs are an inch taller and/or perhaps it hooks at the end of it so that the laptop can be inserted in to hold/clamp it down and keep it from sliding/falling off. Another minor issue I have is, the laptop space could be longer.
