The shoes are made of fabric, Velcro, and have cut-outs where heels would normally be. A few faults: the velcro destroys the cloth fabric of the shoes. The Velcro traps come loose while I'm walking-all the time, no matter how tightly I adjust them. And it's hard to retain your balance on shoes with no heels. And never try to pivot, or you mayvend up on the floor, as I did. I have unfortunately bought and wrn out countless pairs of these shoes.

Did what my husband needed to help a diabetic ulcer on his heel.

Maybe this wasn’t the correct shoe for my husband. His wounds were aggravated by these shoes. He had to go back into his multipodus boots. Not for someone with neuropathy or balance issues.

While being about halfway into healing from foot surgery, I bought a pair of these since I had to minimize the pressure on my heels. I also have balance issues and that became a major liability for me. The absence of a physical heel on the shoes caused me to fall backwards and I could not “ get used “to them. I’m sure they would be helpful for someone without a balance problem. They are well made and fairly priced.
