Reasonably priced, considerably lower than a chrome cast, yet does everything equally. Simple installation and use, although instructions a little sketchy! Works perfectly, Alexa voice controlled or remote from smart phone.

Am aware what the purpose of this device is. Unfortunately however, it refuses to play ball with Alexa, the simple devices It’s supposed to control and serves no purpose whatsoever. A complete waste of time, money and electricity.

This little unit does exactly what it says on the tin. I have a bracket which is remote controlled and lowers my TV down from the ceiling... This unit even recognised the signals so now I just say "alexa lower the TV". And it lowers it and turns it on for me. It was a little tricky programming the automation on the smart life app at first. But once you get your head round it... Works brilliant. Great value for money.

If your device is in the list its a doddle, trying to use it for a DIY controller is next to impossible. After many attempts it says IR captured but it doesn't actually do anything. So pretty pointless really.

A very helpful gadget to replace all the remotes in the house. Operates via the mobile and also via Alexa. Easy to setup and operates immediately.

This little thing is great at certain things. WHEN it is compatible!It won't work properly with a Sky box. The operating instructions are very limited, meaning king you have to trawl through other users posts online to get tips.One ingredient it is good as though - testing old remotes! If you have a stash of old device remotes that you want to test before listing them on eBay, this is the device for you!

I’m really disappointed with this product. So far I’ve only been able to control my tv. I cannot connect the sound bar or sky. The instructions in the box are minimal. There are no online instructions that I can find and no you tube support. I certainly would not recommend this item. I’ve sought support from other owners of this device and they too cannot get this device to link to devices.

Eine schöne Idee die etwas ältere Fernbedienung smart zu machen. Das Kästchen dient lediglich als Fernbedienung im Infrarot Bereich. Und, wenn es eine Übereinstimmung zwischen Hersteller und der vorhandenen Fernbedienung gibt kann diese in einigen wichtigen Bereichen ersetzt werden.Voraussetzung ist das die original Fernbedienung erkannt und auch unterstützt wird.Das Gerät verbindet sich über eine App mit Alexa. Die App wurde schnell über die hauseigene Alexa App eingerichtet. Damit ist das Gerät schon eingerichtet.Der zweite Teil kommt jetzt, die Fernbedienung muss anhand von drei Funktionen mit den Skill erkannt werden. Nur dann funktioniert das gerät mit der Alexa Spracherkennung zuverlässig.Dazu sucht man den Hersteller der Fernbedienung in der App raus und danach betätigt man genau drei voreingestellte Tasten auf seiner Fernbedienung. Gibt es eine dreifache Übereinstimmung, ist die Fernbedienung eingerichtet.Danach ist das Gerät in der Lage diese Funktionen mithilfe der Alexa Sprachapp, auszuführen. Alexa schickt über WLAN die Befehle an die Box, diese wiederum sendet die befehle per IR an die entsprechenden Geräte. Das ganze funktioniert zuverlässig, wenn die Box so aufgestellt wird das die internen Antennen das Gerät was gesteuert werden soll auch erreichen. Also nur dann, wenn die Sicht von der Box zum steuernden Gerät unversperrt ist.Nicht anders als, wenn man mit der Original-Fernbedienung das Gerät direkt steuert.Da die Box preiswert ist und wenn die Umstände freies Sichtfeld vorhanden ist können einfach wie gewohnt per Alexa mehrere Geräte gesteuert per Sprache gesteuert werden. Macht auf jeden Fall Sinn und erleichtert den smarten Alltag.
