Not Infrared!
The description and video on the website would lead you to believe this is an infrared radiant heater, but it is NOT. It's a ceramic heater with a particularly loud fan. The unit glows red like pictured, but that's because of LEDs inside not the heating element!

Small and compact, price is right!
I was hesitant to get this based on some other reviews, but I'm very pleased with it. We use it to keep the chill out of my daughter's room at night since she's not good at staying under the blankets (and our windows are atrocious). It's small, compact, gets warm but won't burn if our little one touches it. It certainly seems to be infrared (I saw other reviews stating it's not... I don't see how it's not). For the price, this is a fantastic purchase.

We set it for only 62 degrees and the heater warms it up pretty quickly. Then it turns off and on when ...
We use this in a small bathroom that has outside walls. Sometimes the pipes would freeze in the winter time... but not any more. We set it for only 62 degrees and the heater warms it up pretty quickly. Then it turns off and on when needed to keep the room at a steady warm temperature.Great heater and very safe.

This heater is not as advertised. It is not an infrared heater it works off a fan and it does not heat a 500 sp foot room. I placed it in a 250 sq ft. office room and it doesn't heat the space. This is something maybe for a cold bathroom in a basement.

Ineffective heater
Very weak heater. Almost completely ineffective. If it wasn’t for the noise it makes from the cheap fans inside and the red led’s you would not know it was there at all.Waste of money. Good heater - stand alone or wall mounted.
Does a great job heating a single bedroom. Please note that the back of the unit can be wall mounted AND includes a base station that allows the unit to sit freestanding. The unit arrives with the base station clipped on, and I thought I had received the wrong product. The back of the unit detaches leaving it free to be wall mounted. There is very little documentation to share this information.

The older models of iHeater were configured to plug into the wall. This one isn't. The reason I bought it was so that it could plug into the wall. But it works and is effective.
