I actually have two cats home. I put their litter boxes in the bathroom. and it can smell really awful sometimes. I think air purifier is a perfect solution to my trouble.Start from day 1 the odor of that room is completely gone! And my cats seem okay with this new buddy in the room.The only regret is i cannot have more carbon filter. hopefully it can last long so i dont have to change the filter too often. Other than that, no complaint!

Got this to use in our bedroom for an air purifier and nightly white noise machine. Hubby has tinnitus, so he likes having a loud white noise while he sleeps to block out noise and the ringing. We have a an old rainmate machine we have been using, but I hate having to refill it with water every few days and cleaning it each month since we only ran it at night so it wouldn't run out of water and burn up the motor.This purifier is quiet. We run it on high with the ion turned on also at night, and switch it to auto during the day. Received it around Jan 3, and by Jan 19 the light began blinking to replace the filter. I checked the filter and it doesn't appear to be dirty, so I'm just gonna reset the light and check the filter each week till it gets dirty.I downloaded a decibal sound measuring app on my Android phone to see what the levels where...because hubby says this purifier on high isn't loud enough (the rainmate is loud enough for him)... The rainmate measured about 48-50 db. This purifier measured about 10 db on auto\low, and 38-40 db on high. So he is right, it is not as loud as the rainmate he is used to.I wish the filters lasted longer, and the sound\fan could be louder. But overall it seems to do what it is designed to do.I have allergies and we have 6 indoor pets that shed constantly (5 cats and 1 dog), so we also use our big rainbow vac\purifer in the living room to help purify and keep control of the all the fur and dander...plus use the 2xDust filtrete filters in our home a.c. air conditioner return vent.

Had it for three days. Using it in a 12x14' room.Design is nice and clean and attractive. Well boxed too.The sticker on the top grille is a fiasco as it doesn't peel cleanly- nit picking.The timer on mine is useless. Set for 8 hours two nights and it went off in a few hours.The sleep setting is useless. The airflow in that mode is about zero.I won't complain about the noise on the higher settings because they are acceptable. On medium I'm not botheredat all by it and most others have annoyed me to no end. I really don't like the finicky controls and charge another $20and supply it with a remote.I don't see this unit as an odor killer. I think if that is your requirement look elsewhere.The filter is very simple to replace and that I would give a 5 star for.This unit is only half way where it needs to be.I question sitting this directly on carpet. The design dictates that the bottom have 100% airflow.In the end I'm not really happy with the unit.

Have to admit we were kind of disappointed with this considering all the good reviews. We had it roughly 2.5 days before we returned it. We ran it on just about every setting for extended periods of time for roughly 2.5 days but didn't notice much difference at all if any.We left it on sleep mode all night both nights. It is quiet for sure on that setting but the air flow is low. While we were at work we left it on high one day and medium the next. These two modes are significantly louder and most probably couldn't sleep with it. Unfortunately it didn't seem to do much.We have a cat so we have a litter box in our bedroom. We clean it once every day or 2 so the oder isn't that strong to begin with, but running this all day and night even fairly close to the box didn't really get rid of it. We also tried moving it around and made sure none of the 4 sides were covered.I have my doubts when it comes to the inlet design. Air in from the bottom then shoots it out the top. I think this really limits how much air actually goes through the device. Were going to try purchasing another one with a vertical intake design and see if it works better.Also the sensor was a nice feature but don't think ours worked well.It would randomly switch from green to blue to red but only for a few seconds, then drop back down so not sure how effective it actually is...

I was impressed; after setting it up it only took about half a day before the air started feeling and smelling fresher. The high setting is a little loud, but not any louder than a fan, so I just put it on the low setting while we sleep and we don't even notice it. The blue light is soft and a nice color. Quiet and easy to place any where inside the house. Easy operation. Sleek modern design. Will probably get another one for another room. Well packaged and has a product registration warranty.

I bought this because of the color coded indicator on the top. I have a kid with asthma. Between that and the messy kids and chaotic no time to dust, this helps keeps ties in between and let me know the status of at least that room, or another if I move it around. It does have a nice hum to it at 60db on high setting, which is a nice sound machine background if you like that in your bedroom. It does have a auto status which runs on its own which is nice, even though it is not energy star. My biggest issue I think will be trying to find filters for this down the road. Overall I like the air purifier and does good job if looking to keep ties on a small rooms air quality.
