I use this beautiful mat as a "beach mat," actually for hanging out in the grass after swimming at the local pool. The grass and lawn debris shakes right off and the mat is easy to fold up and rolls to a nice compact size. I haven't had it long but it seems to be holding up fine. I do air dry it between uses since I want to keep it nice. It seems a bit fragile for yoga but for my use it's perfect.

This is an attractive, sturdy, yet lightweight, foldable mat which is easy to take for outdoor yoga. It’s much better on the sand than using a towel, and shakes off easily.

I bought this mat for use at the beach. I normally use those straw mats you get at places like CVS, etc., but they are very fragile, and I was lucky to get one summer's use out of them. I decided to give this yoga mat a try, and love it! When lying on it, it breathes. And when ready to leave the beach, all it takes is a simple shake to get rid of the loose sand. No laundering required. It is well-made. The 3 seams where the mat folds held up extremely well. Of course, it's a little heavier than straw mats, but not clumsy or cumbersome. Recommended!

We used this mat for both doing stretches outdoors while camping and as a mat in front of the tent (take shoes off before stepping on the mat) to help keep the tent floor clean. The mat provided the right amount of cushion for workouts on the ground (mostly packed dirt) and was super easy to clean with a quick shake. I like that the ends are covered with sewn-on fabric. I think that this makes the mat more durable. I recommend.
