Worked great on ripstop nylon
Making a ripstop nylon blanket, and hate using pins to hold the slick material in place. Using this stick worked great, it kept the material together and made it so much easier to complete.

This stuff is awesome! First of all
This stuff is awesome! First of all, I had no idea this type of thing existed until a crafter friend of mine told me that she used glue sticks sometimes instead of pinning fabric together. Pinning, as anyone who sews knows, is a major pain in the butt. It takes forever and it is annoying to take the pins in and out as you are sewing. I started using this glue to hold fabric together instead and it has been a life changer.I just started quilting about a year ago, and I'm still a novice. I tend to make mistakes when I just hold the fabric together, which I know some experienced quilters do. But I dislike pins, as I mentioned. So this is a great solution. The glue is tacky enough to hold the fabric in place (at least quilting cotton) when making a quilt block or something, and then it just washes out when you wash the quilt. I don't know if this would work as well with heavier fabrics or anything with much texture, though.Highly recommend this for anyone doing piecework, quilting, or sewing projects.

I was in a quilting class, the lady's was using Dritz 401 Fabric Glue Stick, I was amazed how well it work on the materials. Held my fabric in place while I appliqued my project. Works great and I just love it.

Pretty good product
Works pretty well. Holds ok but paper pattern comes off fabric too soon before finished

Probably okay for some uses, but not everything they advertise
I had hoped that it would hold a zipper in place for my 4-H student to sew, but it doesn't take a lot to slide stuff around. It would probably work well for positioning trim that isn't going to take a lot of tugging while it's being sewn. In spite of its advertising, it does NOT hold a zipper in place.

Dritz Stick
I recently used Dritz Stick fabric glue for a sewing project, and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the results. The ease of application and the firm hold of this non-toxic and water-soluble glue amazed me. The 0.28-ounce size was perfect for my needs

Exactly what I needed, there is some setting time involved
But almost all instantly setting fabric glues will gum up your needles and mess up your projects with nasty setbacks. Sewing, good sewing, requires patience. Washes right out of cottons, rayon, and typical polyesters - but will stain silks. Everything stains silks so take care to apply it with toothpicks or bamboo skewers discreetly and carefully on silk fabrics.Allow to dry at least a day before sewing over it lest you gum up your needles or machine.

Great for machine embroidery
I use this for machine embroidery. It works better than the sprays and it is easier to accurately apply. I've had no issues with it gumming up needle l.
