Worked great for re-attaching the bridge to my acoustic guitar (a Martin D-41 copy). The StewMac bridge clamp caul is over 62 dollars. Buy that one if you are going to be a professional luthier. Buy this one if you only have to glue 1 or 2 bridges in place every 10-15 years. The clamp will do the same job at a much more resonable price. Mine did not have the wood burned artwork shown in the photo on Amazon on the caul, but that was fine as it does not affect the performance.

It works but requires additional clamps to get the job done.

This tool worked great. I will add a second washer to the under side next time to keep the socked head bolts from trying to pull thru the holes. Also some Vaseline on the threads will help removing the bolts so the glue does not stick to them. This tool is much better than trying to use three large C clamps.

Watched the videos on how to use the product and they are not for a first timer. Unless you have all day to sit there and watch the glue leak out and constantly clean it off then just pay someone to replace the bridge. Now I’m stuck with an $800 guitar that has glue coming out of all edges of the bridge, have to get a super small drill bit to drill out holes for the electric wire to come back up through the body. Just don’t unless you are a seasoned guitar repairmen.

Used this bridge clamp to re-glue the bridge on my 45 year old Guild D25. I have done this job using deep throat c clamps several times but could not find my clamps after the last move. This clamp looked good and made sense so I ordered one and I am very happy with the result...

I am very happy that I found this. The cauls that come with it are fine, but if you want to spread the load across the bridge perfectly you can make cauls to fit the contours of the bridge. I didn't, and it still worked great for me.It paid for itself the first use!

This made installing my new bridge super easy. Great value. I’ll be able to use this tool for years to come.

I haven’t actually used it yet so I’ll just give three stars for now. But just wanted to point out that if you’re gluing your bridge back don’t drill out your bridge pin holes to make the bolts fit for this clamp. Your bridge pins probably won’t fit anymore if you do so. You’ll have to find the appropriate sized screw and wingnut at you local hardware store.
