Pleasantly surprised
To be fair I didn’t really expect much from this lamp given the price but I was pleasantly surprised.I’ve used it a couple of times now both inside (when patio doors were open and lights were on in the house attracting swarms of small flies and mosquitoes) and outside when BBQing. What you don’t get is an instant effect I.e. turn the lamp on and immediately all the bugs fly into the lamp committing mass suicide and you instantly have a clear room. It won’t do that. What it does is to keep the bug numbers at bay by killing off some of them. When outside the light attracts them anyway and the purple bug killer then does it’s job, and does it effectively.I was surprised at how many dead bugs there were in the wires. So as a light that keeps bug volumes down it does the job well.Couple of niggles:1. You can only turn the whole thing on or off, so you can’t have the light without the bug killer or vice-versa.2. The solar panel is pretty ineffective- it’s so small it doubt it would ever charge the lamp battery, but may just stop it losing power if left charged and unused for long periods3. The charging lead is a double USB which is very annoying as it means it’s another lead I have to keep safe as I can’t use any normal USB to micro-USB leadBut overall it’s a good lamp and does what it claims.

Worked great Once
It arrived fairly quickly, well packed. Ordered two, one was missing the wire hanger so you cant hang the thing up.waited until dark and yurned it on and left it outside overnight, in the morning the batteru was flat, but there were more than 50 dead mosquitos on the wire zapper part. Great.Plugged it in to charge, and it just doesn't take a charge, same for both lamps. there is a very small solar panel on top, this works but will take a very long time t recharge. Overall not good, waste of money, other brands without solar panel and normal micro usb carging work better and have better quality. No way is this waterprood either, the diffuse is very loose and the circuit board is exposed underneath.

Utter rubbish
I bought this as one corner of our garden had hundreds of gnats mozzies and larger flies all the way up to blue bottles (probably a dead bird in the woods attracting them). I charged this up and put it in the area concerned. I kept it charged for 3 days and at the end it had two small dead gnats in it. I killed more with my hands getting the thing put up and taken down.

Meh, Kinda does it job.
(exit - gave me a full refund without even asking so great customer services so added an extra star)Better to invest in a bigger, brighter insect zapper. It had some success in a pitch black room over night but apart from that was pretty much useless, I had flies land on the lamp part and fly away. Makes for a better camping lamp and the built in battery is not bad which is a shame that it does not have a outlet USB for charging phones.

My second one: because they’re sooo good
This works great. You can wash it, a charge lasts for ages, it doubles as a camping lamp, you can sleep with it on overnight And you will be mosquito freeeeee! Love this, bought a second because I have a massive tent.

Utter <insert expletive here>
Utter waste of time, money and effort. Unit failed on the first use and would not charge, fly zapper appears to be just two blue leds, (waves it through a cloud, and I mean a cloud of highland midges.) Nothing, nada, zip...no crack, no flash of blue, no insects spiralling to the floor with butt aflame, pretty sure I heard "Is that the best he can do??" and "Yer da' does Avon" from the midges. Utter useless, don't bother and look elsewhere

Not great.
It works ok. But lasts a max of 2 hours with the lamp. Strange charging cable not standard.A USB connection both ends.
