Wald1372 Standard Small Front Basket - Multi Fit

Very easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I had been mulling getting a basket for months before finally buying this and it's one of the best bike upgrades I've done.Super easy to install, maybe takes 30 mins tops, and makes getting around with a bike so much easier. It's large enough to fit one grocery bag with a net over it, but it's not so big that you can't shine a handlebar-mounted light over it. I used to put all my groceries, books, shoes, etc in a backpack, but throwing them in the basket is so much more comfortable. It also helps avoid backsweat. Honestly, just get it.

This is the classic small bike basket. It's not a big paperboy or delivery basket. It's not even the medium basket - Wald probably makes over a dozen varieties of bike baskets. This one attaches securely to the handlebars, and has an adjustable support that attaches to the front axle or fender eyelets. It's a bit nostalgic, and not very modern looking. Form follows function, and the design harkens to typical manufacturing methods of the early 20th century. It will take a beating, and probably give a beating back in return. Don't even let your bike fall over and have this thing catch the side of your car. It will dent your car body as badly as your car dents it. You can bend it, but you would have to really try long and hard to break it. I've seen baskets of this design severely bent, with worn galvanization, on bikes 50 and 60 years old that are still perfectly functional. There are fancy, slick designed aluminum hipster baskets these days that might be more appropriate on an expensive bike, but this is a basket that has survived nearly 100 years of changing bicycle technologies along with the Wald company, still family owned, and still making these baskets in the USA. It's a product you may be able to make more visually attractive, but I don't think you could improve upon it's practical utility. I'm proud to have one on my 1962 Schwinn Fleet.

This is well made and fit perfectly on our child’s Micargi Hero and F4 bicycles.

This Wald basket is the same size as the regular 137 model. The 1372 model includes more substantial brackets and legs intended to allow for easier installation to the handlebars and axle. It works fine and is reasonably sturdy. It's easy to install and a good buy at the price.

Unfortunately, the extensions to the forks on my bike are about 4 inches too short. I wanted to buy American, so I will keep the basket, hopefully someone will see this, and I can find a way to get an additional extension. The product is very well made, just does not fit on a 26 inch Schwinn.

It was easy to install. Love having this basket on my commuter bike. I can't believe I went so long without a basket.

Really nice construction but it was too small for my needs.I returned it.
