I wanted some decent quality backing for my fly reels and this fit the bill. The quality is excellent and the price is bargain level. I don't know why anyone would pay premium priced for upper name brand when this is the same quality and they have a myriad of colors and sizes to boot.I'll be buying this as my fly line backup from now on.

Got 300 yds of 30lb backing, orange .The color is bright and rich. I was worrying that it would be dull but it looks great. Strong. All on one spool. I suggest getting this instead of Rio , Hatch, or SA. It's just as good and you save $$$.

Color selections are great if your wanting something different. Slippery and soft to the touch. Should repel dirt well. My only complaint is the diameter is very thick compared to traditional backing. The 3rd picture is hard to tell visually but, you can feel how much thicker it is. I still put 300ft or 100yrds of 20# on a large arbor 5/6 reel. It feels like 30LB backing. I only think it could present a problem on a large salt water big game fly reel.

Line is great but just realize that if you order 300 yards you don't get one spool of 300 yards, you get 3 spools of 100 yards.

If you dont mind getting the wrong color, this stuff is quality. I have ordered it twice, and I have gotten the wrong color TWICE! I'm sure the line works fine, but c'mon, man, give me the right color. I want ORANGE ORANGE ORANGE, not yellow or yellow and black!

Its Fly Line Backing, if it does not rot, or stain the fly line, it will be perfect.

Have had good results using this backing! Well made, brilliant colors, and abrasion resistant. Easy to attach to your flyline and moves through rod guides well.

I use the pencil method for using the backing. Backing helps with line jamming on the reel. It also conserves fly line. This line works really well.
