Solid, smooth, inexpensive.
Excellent economically priced reel. Smooth, easy to adjust and feels as nice as some more expensive reels. Impressed with what you get for the money. Drag adjusts smoothly, solid feel. This is my second one, I also have a Royal Legend and it’s been great too.

I bought to 2000 model and I paired it with a short graphite rod that an expensive shimano reel was once paired with.This little guy is super impressive. The reel DOES have continuous anti-reverse! Super smooth. No issues skipping under docks with this.I highly recommend!

Size of reel vs species of fish
The reel has a nice feel to it. I am concerned if it will stand up to Salmon. I ordered based on line capacity and test. I feel I should have went with the 4000 series instead of 3000 series. The price was very good, I hope it stands up to Salmon.

Kastking Brutus Fishing Reel
Today I just received the Kastking Brutus 5000 fishing reel and I am very impressed with the size and quality. I wasn't going to buy another reel but this reel was on sale for less than the original price on Amazon Spring Sale. I can use it on my extra rod for fishing for larger size fish, hopefully flounder, tautog and stripe bass.
