Just got it, for now it works great
I had an iPhone 4 and bought the Bose sound dock as my main source of music enjoyment from it in my home . This was two years ago and recently as some people do just changed to the Samsung Galaxy 4 with my new contract. I was searching for deals on Bluetooth speakers at my local electronic stores. The ones I liked were expensive and in my opinion not all that appealing for that price. Lets be honest in the middle of Christmas I wasn't looking forward in overspending money on gadgets.I wondered into Amazon searching for speaker options and encountered the A2DP adapter. It seemed like a real option and the price justified taking a chance.I ordered it last week and it came in this afternoon. I am not up to date on all the new tech and had no idea what I would face, The package was very simple and easy to open, no scissors necessary. I took it out placed it on the dock and it lit up flashing blue and red light. I went to my phone searched for the Bluetooth option and it located it almost immediately and the flashing light turned fix blue .I search for my playlist and the songs were steaming and the music was on filling the room. Then I walked to the kitchen sat my phone down at a distance of approximate 45 feet with no trouble with the reception at all.Sound quality: There is always a some compromise on sound quality when it comes to wireless but it isn't worth several hundreds of dollars when you have a prior investment of a Bose SoundDock that can be enjoyed for years to come. For now , If you are in a similar situation there is very little to consider, the A2DP Bluetooth Music Receiver Adapter for Bose SoundDock Speakers is a viable option that will let you add years of enjoyment to one of the best home systems available that by the way cost you a pretty penny a few years back.Update:Only one thing that you might not like but for the price lets be real its MINOR considering this product is not one that was originally intended for BOSE systems:The device needs to be unplugged and reseated if the dock is powered down. But it does not make odd beeping noises randomly like a prior review stated. I have been enjoying music all morning and continue to say its a wonderful alternative to spending $ 199.99 on a new system that isn't any better to the one I already owned.

Simple, yet effective way to make old players new again
This is an amazingly simple, yet effective item. First, to address a few other reviews that were not so positive, they must not have contacted the seller about their concern. I did have an issue with the first item I received, but I communicated with the seller and he was prompt and helpful, resolving my issue. Buying from a good seller makes purchasing items like this online much more comfortable. On the item itself, it works great. My stereo and dock is located in one corner of the house. I can move around fairly freely on the same floor. I haven't tested full range because I do not have a clear shot to reach 60', but I have gotten over 30' away, even with walls interfering. I have other Bluetooth devices and the range on this item far surpasses them. One is a popular Bluetooth speaker that I love, but it can't compare on range. Simply plug in, find the item on your device (I've used it on iPod touch, iPhone 4 & 5, and iPad) and connect. You do need to disconnect other devices that might be in range before you can connect to a new one, but that's simple enough to do. Plus, the fact that it retains memory of your device is good so you don't have to constantly reconnect when you start it back up if you normally only use that one device.I've asked for another for Christmas but if I don't get it, I'll buy it myself. Can't beat this price for converting a 30-pin device to Bluetooth. Oh yeah, for those of you with an Altec iM7(white cylindrical speaker from 2006), mine did not work on that device, but I should have known better since the iM7 does not charge newer i-Products. However, the Bluetooth Music Receiver does work on a Gigaware Dock (Radioshack) and an Altec iM630. My guess is that if your dock will charge your 30-pin iPod touch or iPhone then you're probably safe and should give it a shot.

Works in automobiles too!!!
Ok, so I know it wasn't advertised to work this way and I didn't see anyone else mention it but I am using it in several of my vehicles. I have aftermarket adaptors to play my iPod through the existing stereo (iSimple, Scosche) plus the standard connector for Mercedes. All of them work flawlessly with this adaptor. They all feed the iPod signal (and power) through a 30pin connector. It was already a pain because I had to buy the "official" Apple 30pin to lightning converter when I gave up my iPhone 4 (anything else does not feed audio). The problem with the $30 Apple stubby is the lighting part barely connects through even the skinniest case. The alternative is to buy the converter cable from Apple for $50. Instead, this makes the connection for less. Plus, Mercedes doesn't like you to play with your iPod using anything other than their controls. On my e320, the connector is tucked away in the glovebox. The alternative is to buy another "official" 30 pin extension cable and route it through the dash and up the center console. The one downside of all this is the iPod does not benefit from being powered through the cable (the device is not a pass-through and only has the female 30pin port). For long trips I can deal with a separate charger but my usual hour commute in LA doesn't require it. Since I'm using it in an "off-label" manner I didn't deduct any stars for it. But, if BMR is listening, you guys should spend a little R&D time to check into my usage further - might open up a whole new market for you!!!As I said, its not advertised to work this way but for the money it was a cheap experiment. Updated all my vehicles to bluetooth capability.Cars I have tested this on:2002 GMC Sierra 1500HD SLT with iSimple PXDP2003 Infiniti QX4 with Scosche2006 Mercedes e320 CDI with factory 30pin iPod connector

Direi ottimo
