TENFLY Tromner Reflex Hammer with Pointed Tip Handle, for Neurologic Reflex Diagnosis and Testing

I use reflex hammers for work and favor Tromner style hammers with flexible plastic handles (an MDF model has been my workhorse for years). I often buy these cheap versions out of curiosity. For this model: Handle was light and slightly off center. Plastic seems lighter and cheaper than similar models. Pointy end is fixed and cannot be removed. Rubber head is a bit on the firm side, and may make it more difficult to elicit smaller reflexes (brachioradialis). For a medical student or any specialty that does not involve the nervous system, it is more functional than the end of your stethoscope and probably slightly better than the edge of a heavy mobile phone in a plastic case. However, if you care about checking reflexes, I suggest purchasing something else.

Overall, a good reflex hammer. Good weight, able to get good reflexes with it. The handle may be a bit on the flimsy side.

The actual hammer head is great but It's so frustrating that the end with the pokey side falls out all the time! Thankfully I've found it in my pocket each time it falls out but still frustrating.

Like the weight of the hammer and that u can replace the rubber tips easily. The sharp handle tip hurts me sometimes however I do like having the sharp tip available for easy sensory testing

This hammer is unusable on patients. If you're expecting the Tromners that neurologists use, with the soft silicon tips and good weight to them, this is not the hammer for you. The tips are hard rubber, the handle is flimsy plastic, and the pointed end is razor sharp.MDF's are available for ~$8 more here on Amazon. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this cheap junk.

I didn’t think I could be so happy with a reflex hammer but this is the perfect exam tool light weight well balanced with a handle that has the perfect amount of flexibility.

This reflex hammer is sturdy, well balanced and of great quality. the pointy end is great for the sharp and dull assessment , and is within regulations. 5/5 would buy again
