Learning Classical Tibetan: A Reader for Translating Buddhist Texts

This is a great book for people studying the classical Tibetan language. It's not a beginner text, but for people with a year or two of study, it has a ton of great tips. The English and Tibetan corresponding translations are invaluable.

I’ve been studying the Classical Tibetan Language casually now for thirty years – anyone who has been paying attention to the field would make the observation that this book meets a long standing need. I wish I had it available as a resource when I started out – making the jump from introductory material (i.e., Joe Wilson’s Translating Buddhism From Tibetan) to actually being able to read and comprehend varied Tibetan sources was a real challenge, this book bridges that gap. Thank you Dr. Paul Hackett for publishing this book, it will provide great benefit.
