I liked the packaging and presentation of the product. The users manual was easy to understand and I was set up to start weighing in just a few minutes. Mine came with batteries and only needed the hanging hook/u-bolt mounted to the scale to be fully operational.I ride at a local state park that attracts large crowds from the serious rider and racer to the kids and families just looking to have fun. I put a rope in a tree at the park (no harm done to the tree) and offered to weight peoples bikes or gear for free. It was quite the crowd draw! The kids enjoyed guessing what the bike might weigh before we had the results. My best "serious" racer wanted to weigh the bike, his protective gear and his hydro backpack.After the day at the park I hung it in my shop to weigh anything from my body armor to the bikes and gear. I have tested the results by weighing items and comparing to another scale in the house as well as weighting 5 lb and 25 lb dumbbells. Great accuracy.It is nice to know that your back pack weigh ##pounds an the bike you thought was light actually weight more. I follow the manufactures guidelines and while I leave it hanging in the garage I do not leave any weight hanging from the bottom of the unit. This allows me to power it up with the push of a button and hang the bottom hook then lift the item to be weighed onto the hook. I have found that some items require a long zip tie (48") to provide a point that you can hook onto that item. Get creative and you will find yourself wanting to know the weight of all kinds of items.Seems well built and the case/box it came in makes for a nice storage case as well. It took a little while for me to do this review as I wanted a chance to use the Sani weight a few times in different ways. I was pleasantly surprised it was easy to use and I found it a very good product!First of all it did take a little bit to put together but I figured it out and it I am not very technically proficient!We plan to use the scale to weigh animals for hunting season so I was unable to use it for the actual intended reason but I took it to our hunting property and played with it weighing different things and I found it very accurate. I hung it where it will hang in hunting season and I had no problems with getting it to stay put even with putting some heavy rocks in a bucket and putting it thru a real workout!It is a heavier plastic that I would not leave out for all seasons and we will definitely take out and hang up when we need it but that won't be a problem.It probably weighs about 2-3 lbs put together but I had it weighing over 300 lbs - ( many rocks in a bucket) and I seriously was impressed on how well it was accurate and easy to use.I recommend it and I like it!

This product was nearly ready to use straight from the box. It came with two AAA batteries, you just have to pull the plastic out. Then loop the mounting clasp through the hole and thread the bolt, then attach the hanging hook. From there, it's ready to use, simple, and easy to understand. You can change the weight unit by the press of a button. It has a digital screen and a button to hold your weight. It's much larger than it appears in the picture. It's very sturdy and heavy duty. It seems accurate but I have no way of verifying exact weight for the items I've used it for so far. My husband is so excited to add this to his workshop!

Good scale seems to be well made ...just wish it would have had a auto hold ....that's the only downfall for me!

I purchased this scale for stretching bow strings. I have it inline with a ratchet strap to stretch bow strings at 120 pounds. I can stretch my string for 20-30 min before putting it on my bow. No more adjusting new strings for stretching.

I purchased this scale to use for checking the draw weight of my compound bow. Unfortunately it does not have a peak weight setting, which I would have know if I read the comments. So I am sending it back and forking over the extra cash to get a scale made for that purpose.That said, I was so impressed with the quality of this scale I felt it was worth the time to post a review. I did check the scale out and it is very well made. The included hardware is all heavy gauge steel, more that capable of handling the max 600 pound limit of the scale. The LCD display is large and very easy to read and the settings are intuitive so no manual is really needed. If I needed a scale of this type I would not hesitate to purchase this exact one. It is so nice I almost feel like keeping it even though I don't need one.If you need a hanging scale this will be money well spent.

Very easy to use. I hope it is accurate but I really don't have anything to compare it to.Handy for luggage to make sure you don't go over weight. True test will be at the airport.Though, it is a little weighty itself, so bringing it along worries me only in that I need to store it IN the suitcase too, adding to the weight. I'll have to weigh it so I know what to subtract from how much I can put in the suitcase. I understand why the S has to be so heavy/study, since the weight capacity is so high.It seems sturdy and well built, unlikely to break apart easily. The display is clear and easy to read.*I received this product for free for testing.

Item arrived well packaged, in new condition. Installing batteries was a snap. Used in operation provided clear view of numerical value of thins being weighed. Used on measuring the weight of a deer to estimate the actual meat total, minus the hide ,head & bones.
