Super compact with decent performance. Great for laptops.
Due to a botched repair (My fault...again...) I had to convert the WLAN card slot in an older Yoga laptop to use an compact SSD card instead. This meant that the laptop no longer had onboard WiFi or Bluetooth. I am a retired Wi-Fi field engineer and I know a bit about client performance.First priority here was preventing damage to the USB port, which meant it had to project less than a half inch from the body. It also had to provide Bluetooth. My expectations for performance were minimal and I expected all kinds of grief from power management turning the adapter off during sleep, doze, etc. This adapter more than meets this size requirement.-And surprise surprise, it works much better than I'd hoped. It easily saturates my cable modem link (150 down, 15 up) and more importantly, the link is consistent during Teams meetings and voice calls. The AP I'm using is 10' away on the other side of a kitchen wall. My PHY rate is 250mbps as I write this (5Ghz, 80mhz channel, 1SS, Wi-Fi5/AC link) and the external mouse is BT connected. Too much attention is paid to signal strength and even data rate. What really matters is link consistency and this thing hits the mark.I've been using it for weeks and don't remember having any link drops or issues waking up from power save. There was one occurrence where the laptop went to sleep during a Google Voice call, and the stream was interrupted. It came right back after wiggling the mouse. (BT has been flawless). It's a little expense in my opinion, but as far as I know this is the smallest USB WLAN adapter out there so maybe it's worth the premium. It does allow me to keep this old (But expensive) laptop on the road for another year or two. It dropped right in to Windows 11 without any manual driver installation. My network is WPA-2 so I can't speak to WPA-3 support.I also messed with the super-cheap adapters you can by on the direct-from-china sites. Don't bother. While the size is right, they are consistently awful, even at $5. If you need a tiny Wi-Fi adapter, get this one.

Fast, rock solid signal strength and plug and play
I replaced a USB wireless adaptor that was always dropping my internet signal with this one. I was actually in the middle of a Zoom meeting when it lost internet for the second time. I grabbed this new wifi adaptor and plugged it in, entered the wifi name and password and it joined back into the Zoom meeting and didn't drop again for the entire meeting. It has been rock solid ever since. It seems to have good signal strenth and compatibility. Easy to install, just plug it in and you are good to go. I didn't even need to install a device driver, it was built into Windows 11. I get the full 600mb speed that it offers. I have 1gb internet speed, but 600mb is plenty fast for everything I do at work. I would purchase this again.

Works great has the drivers on it already!!!
Works amazing!! My new pc build came with a motherboard that needed a cd to install the WiFi drivers. I didn’t have a cd rom drive. Who does these days? So I tried to use a usb drive to download the drivers using my laptop. That didn’t work either. So I ordered this product and my internet works great.

Works for windows, not Linux.
I did a search on Amazon for a Wi-Fi dongle that would work with linux. This popped up and I ordered it. After about an hour and a half on the phone with tp-link customer service, there was no resolution to its inability to work with linux. I called back a few days later and got a different rep and was told it will never work with linux, only with Windows and Mac os. Worked great for windows, but that is not what I was looking for.

Already bought like 8 of these, instant plug and play Wi-Fi for anything!
As a tech, these are by far the most convenient USB adapters, they require absolutely ZERO setup/drivers and give Wi-Fi within 3 seconds of plugging in. Purchase the Wi-Fi 6 model if you want more bandwidth, these realistically avg about 80-170mbps wireless which is more than enough for most folks. Works with every PC I've tried including legacy systems. These are an easy 5/5.

My speeds have much improved for a very low cost and I am very happy with it.
My speed test went from 1.59 download and .43 upload to 29.0 download and 11.6 uploadI already had the other type for a few years so I decided to see if this would work better. I just plugged it in and used my wi fi password and it connected immediately. My signal strength is so much better now as you can see in the pictures The first pic is the new one and the second the old one so it was very slow.It was very easy to do it all, literally took about 1 minute.Since my computer doesn't connect well anymore I find this a very valuable source.

Plugged it in. It works great through out the house.
Item worked as described. I think it took longer to get out the package then to get it set up with my laptop. Took maybe 5 minutes to set up and works great. Approximately a 2200 sq/ft house and great signal throughout. Definitely recommend

Functional
Boyfriend's laptop could not see my new TPLink router, neither the 5Ghz or the 2.4Ghz via his laptop's built in wifi. He plugged this in on a Windows 10 machine, and within less than 3 minutes, it was installed and able to see the network. Doesn't take up much space. Installed easy. Connected to the network.
