I bought this nigh on a year ago. It does make the faintest of humming noise, but it's hardly noticeable. This thing can crank out the moisture, so beware of that in a small room. You will wake up with a layer of morning dew on everything if it runs unchecked! That being said, I love that I can set the humidity level so then it's not running full blast all night long, very handy function. The night light is blazing bright if you have to get up in the middle of the night, but it can be turned off. I actually colored tape with a black sharpie and put that over the display because for me even that was too much light at night! But anyways, besides my love for a pitch black bedroom, this humidifier works great and I would recommend. Oh and my toddler loves the mist, hours of entertainment right there!!!

The media could not be loaded. I have two of these humifiers, each placed in a bedroom. We use them every night through the winter. The tank has to refilled only every other night, when running a maximum output. They produce a lot of moisture and run amazingly quietly. The chimney helps the moisture to spread throughout the room.My only complaints: (1) the screen produces enough light to be annoying in a bedroom. I wish there was a dark mode. (2) The empty-tank sensor malfunctions sometimes (thinks it's empty when it's not), completely preventing the unit from working at all even just after refilling, and even when there is water in the bottom tray. I can't tell if this is a design/manufacturing flaw... or maybe the unit needs to be cleaned more often.

Incredibly surprised at how much moisture this unit puts out, and yet doesn't leave puddles on the floor in front of itself like some other humidifers do. Features all work great, especially the humidity gauge to turn the unit on and off as needed (which extends the time between refills).If I had a complaint, it's that I do have to fill the unit up once per day, and when using purified water from an osmosis unit, that takes a few minutes. But it's simple physics, people: if you want a lot of moisture in the air, then it takes a lot of water to do so. Would buy again, and may just for other rooms of the house.UPDATE: After a year of ownership, this unit began growing mold somewhere inside where I couldn't get to it. Cleaned it several times in every way I could figure out, inside, outside, tried everything short of running it with a reservoir full of bleach... and would still get sick as a dog when I used it. AVOID!!!

I really like this humidifier. It puts out lots of steam, is very quiet, and easy to use. It also looks very nice and I do not mind having it in the middle of the living room. I was not sure about it in the beginning, though, because of a couple of problems. I do not have much strength in my hands, and when it came time to refill it, I was not able to remove the lid. I was extremely frustrated, but finally remembered that heat makes things expand, so I put it under the faucet and turned on the hot water. I let it run slowly until fairly hot, and then tried again. The problem this time was that it was slippery and I could not get a grip, so I got a rough textured cloth and with that, I was able to open it. I have to use this method every time, but it is old hat now. I feel SO much better! Less coughing and breathing is MUCH easier. I would not want to be without it, and will definitely buy another if something happens to this one.

I've had this humidifier for a couple of weeks now and so far it's the best of several I've purchased to battle this year's cold, dry weather. It pumps out a lot of moisture, and even on the highest setting requires less than one refill per day to keep it going. There are a lot of settings to use, and the refill indicating 'window' is very easy to see and read. The extenders and accessories give a lot of control over which direction the moisture exits, and the extra length is great for ensuring the moisture doesn't just fall on the floor like some other humidifiers.The only complaints I have are that it doesn't list the output (I think it's roughly 1.5 gallons per day), and it would be nice to have a higher output, although this model is higher than 90% of the humidifiers I've seen around, and higher than ALL of the locally available humidifiers.Be sure to use RO or distilled water, because otherwise whatever naturally occurring minerals in your water supply will be sent up with the moisture, creating a fine particulate dust.

This helps regulate the humidity in my room with m y guitars.This work very good I would recommend it.
