Disclaimer: Just got it. Only ran it twice so far.Set up was easy. I recommend reading all of the instructions before first use. I learned some things that would not have occurred to me. End result after 2 cleaning cycles on back to back days is that my pool is totally clean.I have not brushed my pool in the month prior to using the Dolphin C3. I had pretty bad algae buildup because I forgot to add anti-algae treatment this year. I first vacuumed the pool with the standard pool vacuum that uses the pool pump and filter. The algae buildup was pretty bad. Any robotic cleaner would have had a clogged filter after 5 minutes with algae this bad. The pool vacuum got rid of 90% of the algae as expected. Without brushing, a bunch of the stuff wanted to stick to the sides.Then, for the first time, I dropped in the Dolphin for two and a half hours. End result of the first treatment was that 90% of the algae left over from vacuuming was picked up. The Dolphin filters needed to be cleaned (it's easy). The next day I dropped in the Dolphin for another two and a half hours. End result of the second treatment was a clean pool with zero visible algae where the Dolphin can reach. All I have to do is minor brushing around steps and in corners which is a three minute job.My immediate takeaway on this is that the Dolphin will turn a 20 minute brushing job into a 3 minute brushing job. The effort of setting the device in the pool, taking it out and storing it and cleaning the filters is much easier than brushing. Remember, when you brush a pool for 20 minutes, the dirt is still in the pool. With this device, the dirt ends up in the device filter and not in the pool.

I have had this cleaner for nearly 2 years, and have fought with it daily but it has finally broken me mentally. The cleaner actually works well, has good suction and easy to cleary except for one glaring issue. If you have an inground pool and standard slightly raised main drain cover this thing finds it almost immediately, sits on top of it (stuck I am assuming) and never moves. I try to walk by the window and look to see when it is hung up so I can go outside and dislodge it only to have to go back out every 10 to 15 minutes. If this thing really has AI then I would fire your software developers immediately as they are incompetent. Additionally since the main drain cover is pretty standard, not sure how this has made it through testing and not had the function adjusted. For the price it should be smarter.

This is an awesome pool cleaner. After much debate I took the plunge and decided to maintain my pool this year. Honestly, I was sick of paying someone over 500. a month to clean and maintain the pool so I was determined to figure it out. After watching several YouTube videos and reading several reviews, i purchased this commercial robot.The reason I went with this brand was the reviews i read. It is a pretty cool machine. Cleans the pool so well and it entertains my dogs for an hour or so (the reviews never mentioned the dog entertainment). i also purchased the commercial brand due to the size of my pool and the amount of oak trees that surround it. Hope that helps your decision-making. It's an investment but WELL worth it.

I love the convenience of this machine! Our pool is “difficult”, inciting more than one pool service to stop showing up and refusing to return calls. We have lots of trees and an awkward configuration that makes manual brushing and vacuuming difficult. I used to joke that we swam in “tea” rather than water because of so many leaves. I have used the C3 for three weeks. My pool has never been more pristine. It cleans the pool with its own power/filtration so doesn’t over-stress the existing pump and filter. This model has two top-loading filter chambers which are very easy to access and clean. It comes with a wheeled caddy, so storage is tidy and transport to poolside easy. It did not come with remote control, but I have not found that to be a problem. Buy this machine! It is my new best friend!

This is an excellent pool cleaner. It is easy to use and easy to clean. Works as advertised. The only "cons" I have with it so far is that it does not do stairs well and it once got stuck on my pool drain at the bottom of the deep end.

We have a very large pool and had a cleaner before that couldn’t keep up. I used to have to brush everyday, but with this new robot I barely have to brush at all!! It cleans quickly and efficiently. The only hard part is we need to make sure all goggles, diving toys, etc are out of the pool or it will stop. However, this is a minor issue because of the great job it does.

So far it runs fine, wish had more power.

They fixed it the first time, as it was in within the one year warranty, but to have it repaired a second time would cost a total of $800; it currently doesn't run at all. Definitely not worth it given the track record.Also, the hose that connects the dolphin deteriorates in the water, and leaves residue on your hands when you pull it in out of the water.
