Whitewash

This is a striking photo book. It was a no brainer addition to my collection. Cope's photography and all around imagery is a great addition to any coffee table or book shelf. I've had it sitting on my coffee table for about three months and everyone who comes over to my apartment seems to instinctively reach for it and flip through it. I have a feeling it will have a place at my coffee table for a long time. Highly recommend it.

The photographer's prospective is absolutely brilliant! I've lived in Los Angeles for over 10 years and have never seen this LA. The photos seem so simple at a glance, but the angles and perfect framing quickly suck you in making it hard to turn to the next page. I will definitely be looking for more of Nicholas Alan Cope's work in the future

I'm like a 3 year old when it comes to this book, I look at it about 5 times a day. I wish I could live inside each image.

Cope has taken the feeling of California's powerful light and focused it on the abstract, minimal architecture right in front of us in this sprawling city of Los Angeles. His work strips away all of the chaotic nonsense of LA to find beauty in simple forms, lines, and shadows. Buy this book if you want to own a piece of the legacy of Cope's work..... And it looks Ah-Mazing on your dang coffee table. I mean, people wont shut up about it when they pick it up and look through it. Buy it for your library, if you love photography, if you Love LA, if you love insanely beautiful imagery, just do it!!!!!

A vigorous exploration of light and shadows ability to define space. Nick has produced a great series of strong compositions using a limited pallet. This is a work set in LA and as noted by other reviewers can be seen as exploring its various dichotomies but, it is just as accessible as study of lights ability to abstract space.

I had been waiting for this book to come out for months, my boyfriend surprised me with it after work one evening. I am such a huge fan of Cope's work plus the book design is completely gorgeous! I love it!

Eines der besten Fotobücher in S&W über die Architektur in Los Angeles. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Schade das es kein weiteres gibt.

Miglior libro di “architettura” che abbia mai visto, insieme a “this brutal world”.Più che architettura è un libro sulla luce e sugli effetti creato da essa, davvero fantastico.Immagino oniriche, potenti, vuote ma piene allo stesso tempo, di grande effetto.Da modellista di abbigliamento nonché fanatico di Rick Owens, non potevo che apprezzare la piccola ma deiziosa prefazione... peccato si fermi solo a quello l’intervento dello stilista guru.Rilegatura ECCEZIONALE e stampe di qualità superlativa. Tutto condito da un primo impatto intrigante.Difficile non volerlo aprile quando ce lo si trova davanti.

Ho regalato questo libro al mio compagno fotografo professionista appassionato di architettura. Molto soddisfatto.
