AA++ AmbassadorClass BASS DRUM PEARL MAPLE
I use 2 x 24” Pearl Signature Series bass drums. Ive had the outer heads for yrs. I can’t remember literally blowing out an outer or bottom bass drum head, in my life. 100’s of top heads, even dozens of bass heads, but at 56 I finally heard my right bass sounding off. Upon inspection the head was ripped across! I must admit, using all Evans hydraulic heads in my kit, except the twin 24” bass drums, where I use Evans G2 clear heads, I find pairing an outer or bottom, head, especially when porting the head, and I usually ambassador clear bottoms. Although my left bass is ported, I chose to tune this head, and leave it alone,This Remo Ambassador Class, 24” sounds wicked, and I’m no newbie to Remo. I use remo pinstripes on all my roto toms, I use Remo colored pinstripes on 2 concert Tom’s 12,13”, and an 18”, single headed gong Tom. I also have 3 rocket Toms I use Remo Ambassador heads on. I have a full set of 11 extra Remo Pinstripe heads for certain gigs, to replace my hydraulic heads. Remo makes awesome heads, I find their resonant heads unmatched on my 6ply maple Signature Series, drum kit, Pearl.

Versatile drum head!
Emperor Clear Drum Heads by Remo Inc. is probaly the best combination of the quality and price. I've used these drum heads for my tom-toms and the bass drum for more than 10 years. They are sturdy and versatile. Well tuned they can make your drums to sound decently. Even cheap drum set! I would recommend these drum heads for drummers, who aren't sure what drum heads to choose. Like I said, they are versatile and, in my opinion, they are good for a vast variety of musical styles.

I Always Go Back To Remo
I've played all kinds of brands, plies, coatings, etc.; I always come back. The Emperors are trusty batter heads with the right amount of sing. While I haven't tried them this way, I've heard they make excellent resonate heads too.

Best deal I could find
Needed a decent 15" 2ply head and this was about the best I could find. Combined this with a Remo Muffl system on https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002YK8X8/ on the topside and a Gibraltar external tone control device https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002F71P0/ on the bottom to really dial in a great floor tom sound without the nasty overtones.

Exactly what you'd expect
I run a studio and my house drummer had me buy new heads (both top and bottom) for the kit. Emperors and Ambassadors. All the heads came quickly, in brand new, undamaged condition and the drums sound great. Pricing was comparable to the online retailers (a few dollars cheaper in some cases).

Lots of openness or ring with the ambassador on the other side .
Too much ring with the ambassador on the other side. I spread out 4 cotton balls and threw them in there. Too dead then. Took out 2 and it was just right. So I put 2 in all my remaining toms.. 10-12-14-16. I thought I would need more the bigger the toms got but no. Perfect amount fullness for my ears

while being thin enough to resonate to a nice full, warm sound
Clear Emperors have been my go-to batter heads for years. It is thick enough to take a beating, while being thin enough to resonate to a nice full, warm sound. I like to pair these with Clear Diplomats for extra resonance. I find that if I use Clear Ambassadors with these that there's more punch/attack, but I lose quite a bit of resonance.
