Cat and Mouse fun, without the live mouse.
These mice are great for a cat who might be losing their sight (the rattling is great for that), cats that like the feel of real fur (my cat won't play with the mice that have fabric fur at all), and/or cats who love to throw their toys because these are very light in weight. You could glue a string to the mouse to play with it, if your cats enjoy teaser toys. But these are great toys for a cat to play with on their own. You will want to watch the play (because its hysterical to watch them play), but you need to keep an eye on these as well. They aren't incredibly durable, and a rough cat will tear these apart pretty quickly. My cat loves these though, and you can find them very inexpensive, so they are a great toy.Tip: Put these in a bag of catnip, and let them sit for a while in the nip. Watch your cat go doubly nuts for these toys when you finally give it to them.

Amazon is the only place I can find these
These are just what I've been searching for. I use to buy these all the time from pet stores, but now I can't find them anywhere but here. Yay, Amazon! I received exactly what I expected. I received real fur, rattling mice with felt eyes and ears. They were all the same size and came in two colors of all white and all grey in a package of 12. Seller was CoolCyberCats. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I see where some reviewers received different mice, so I'm mentioning the seller. I've tried to get my two kitties to play with different types of fake mice, even ones that rattle, but they won't be fooled and will not play with them. They love these! One of my cats likes to carry hers around in her mouth and drop it at my feet. She'll meow at me to throw it, so she can go fetch it. The other likes to slap them around until they all end up under the fridge, couch, or entertainment center. Occasionally, I find one in sneakers. I bet they do that on purpose.

Great "Old School" Mouse
I had a large male Siamese cat that loved to "hunt" similar mice and he died a couple of years ago. His brother was a little more sedentary so we did not need to replace his toys as frequently and had not bought any mice specifically for him. This year we adopted a Maine Coon kitten that loved to "hunt" and play with mice type toys. We noticed that he really liked a few of the rattle type mice that we had bought for the older cat that were never used. Imagine my surprise when I went to 3 or 4 pet stores and could not find rattling type mice at all. I saw these on amazon and gave them a shot. Well they are a huge hit and the new kitten loves them so much so that he will stand in front of the place where the mouse "escaped" and howl until he is retrieved or replaced. Some people are concerned that the tails fell off or disappeared. The Siamese cat who like to play with them would usually eat the tail and the ears, he lived to a ripe old age of 16 so I don't think they will do any harm. They do make the ones with tails extra special though when it comes time to clean out from under the furniture. Hope this helps.

These are fun for about five minutes
These are fun for about five minutes, then they become a soggy bedraggled mess and are lost under the furniture. I was looking for something to replace the discontinued synthetic rattling "furry mice" that our cat adored, but these are a poor substitute. They are only 1 3/4 inches long, so they are really tiny; much smaller than a real mouse, and not very well made. They are real fur, so get soggy and gross really fast. If they were not so expensive I would give them another star, as the cat does have a little fun with them, but they just don't have the longevity of the ones he previously loved.

both cats and dogs love these!
my 2 cats go absolutely crazy over these. problem is, so does my dog. he ate several within a few days and then was ill for days. Now I have to hide them as soon as the cats tire of playing. So if you don't have a dog, I definitely recommend them! It's a bit gross knowing they are rabbit fur but it sure makes the kitties happy. they are more able to hone their natural instincts for attacking and playing with prey. my youngest, 1 yr old Talaya, loves me to play catch with her using one. She also likes to hide her stash of mice, making it difficult for me to put them away although the dog always seems to find them. But even my 6 yr old Freya, who rarely gets excited over anything, goes crazy carrying these up the stairs then pushing them down and chasing after them. it's so funny to watch them both and know how much they are loving this.Best mice I've come across!

disappointment
I was so excited for this product as my cats love the leather and fur on these type of mice. I was all but disappointed when I received them though. I received a package that contained 2 quite large mice instead of the "normal" size, half that don't rattle, and only 5 that were covered in the leather/fur combo. The rattlers are cheap. This is the first product on Amazon that I have been disappointed by. Not worth the money for the simple fact that what you see is not what you get.

The cats really like it - best for smaller cats
I got these for my fur babies as we recently adopted them and are learning their toy preferences. I had gotten them the acrylic mice, and they enjoyed them, but wouldn't play with them all the time. These, when they find them, the cats go crazy for them. The real fur really makes a difference!I knocked a star off because I feel these mice are just a little smaller than I expected (5 x 2.5 cm) and another star off because the tails come off quite easily. We're worried my cats might actually try to eat one, and they're so easy to be thrown under the sofa by the cats. The mice bodies are relatively durable. I gave the 3 stars because I would recommend them for a friend who has a smaller, more docile cat.
