Bought two it works so well.
I have purchased two of these the first one is the one that I like better though. It has the USB port right in the handle bar button. The new one requires a dongle/adapter. Something else to get lost and make the USB charging bit useless. The light is awesome, it throws a gradient beam that is brighter and brighter the further it is in front of you. The effect is to what appears as uniformly lighted surface. It really lights up a big space you and see every bump, hole and debris in front of you. Pair it with the Toplight-line Plus Break tail light and you've a really good setup.

Not fit for purpose
I live and ride in the UK, as such we get rain. I have two of these light and both have 'failed' due to water ingress. My first unit had water ingress into the lamp body itself. I was riding a 200km audax and as such from time to time you ride with others. Water thrown up by the riders infront, made its way between the top of the metal case the plastic lens cover, leaving the reflector inside of the cover and the LED smeared with muddy, dirty water. OK so the light still works and I've managed to dismantle the lamp body to carefully remove the dirty stain, but the point is this unit is not sealed enough to prevent water ingress. My second unit decided to pack up yesterday whilst riding a very wet 400km audax. This time water ingress was into the handle bar mounted switch. No water made it into the lamp unit, having used insulation tape to seal the gap between the lamp body and the lens cover. Back to the switch... Closer inspection this morning reveals water bubbles being formed around the two halves of the switches, black plastic body, when I press the switch. The LED indicator on the back of the light flashes constantly and the LEDs in the light pules in time, but never stay on permanately. Pressing the switch doesn't make any difference, as effectively the light in permanately in the 'on' state. I have my own mobile disco light and so does another rider who rode the same event. His light packed up with the same problem. My advice to prospective purchasers, if you live and ride in a country where you get rain, then steer well clear and spend your money on a light designed and built to withstand water ingress. Very disappointed!

Housing Has Broken Twice - Not Serviceable!
I love the light and charging capabilities of this light, but they do not handle rough roads. I had one break where the housing contacts the mount. I contacted a US distributor (Peter White Cycles in NH), and found out there are no replacement parts available. Still, there is nothing else quite like this light, so I bought another one. To be fair, both lights have been used for over 15,000 miles, but no other light I know of has this issue. The second photo shows that this light, too, is cracked between the mount and housing, but it still functions, light-wise. I'm going to try to repair it, but it would be great if Busch and Muller would supply parts for repair.

Great front light
I really enjoy all the features this light comes with. I will like it more once I get the back light mounted. I purchased a Top Light from B&M.

Poorly engineered, leaky, lousy customer service: entirely a Headache in the End
This light started out fine, but after a few thousand miles the wire to the switch cracked and broke: it was made of some brittle metal (likely aluminum) which stiffend and broke with normal usage. The company did not even respond to my inquiries for help. Later the shop where I purchased it was able to get a replacement switch. By then the light began malfunctioning on other grounds: it's "standing light" function stopped working, it stopped reliably charging my phone -- or anything else -- and it leaked in even a light rain. I keep all my equipment clean and well maintained, but this poorly engineered overpriced item let me down again and again. I'm sorry I wasted the time and money on this.

Too expense for what you get.
I bought this before it because available on Amazon so I paid a bit too much. I got it for two reasons - the wide beam and the USB port. It is being run by a Schmidt SON dynamo hub.Unfortunately the USB port does not live up to expectations. Even with me riding fast enough to keep the red charging led on, my cell phone still loses charge while running the ridewithgps app with the screen off. I don't use this feature anymore, instead I use an external battery pack.Comparing my Luxos U side-by-side with my daughter's Edelux II, it is clear the Edelux is brighter. However, the Luxos has a better stand light.Last week my Luxos main led has failed. There's still power getting to the light, and most of the electronics are still working such as the stand light and the status leds. However, there is no main light. This is after 4 years of usage. There has been no rain, so that's not the problem. If I can't get it working without replacing the main led I will replace the whole light with an Edelux II.Considering what I paid for this, I did not get good value for money.

Great Dynamo Light
I bought this light, as well as a rear so that I would not have to keep recharging batteries for my night time commute. So far the light has been great. It throws a long, wide beam that illuminates the road well and is easy to be seen by oncoming traffic. I really like the USB charging function, which is why I went with the Luxos U over the B. It doesn't always charge at night when it needs full power to the lights, but during the day it charges nonstop. You need to keep your speed over about 9mph to get a full charge, faster if you are running the daytime running light. The newer version has a much better USB interface, although it does give me another small piece to lose. All in all I have found this to be the perfect light for commuting and riding around town. You can buy brighter lights, but they won't have as nice a beam, and they won't be enough brighter to make it worth recharging all the time.

POOR ENGINEERING, EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Sure, it's a bright light... BUT the USB charging wire is weak and brittle. Mine snapped off after 30 days of normal use in the middle of a European bike tour. It is a coaxial cable, and cannot be re-attached. I tried to contact B & M, but they continue to ignore my emails. POOR ENGINEERING, EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't waste your money!
