I recommend this switch box for ponds. I had one for 20 years with no problems. It was still going strong and then I did something stupid and broke the bit where the mains cable enters (not the boxes fault!) so I had to buy a replacement. I looked at others but decided on this one again. The design has not changed. It is a bit tight wiring up, but they all are. All the switches are the same and they are all covered by a small 5 amp fuse which is ample for most applications. I have mine screwed to a piece of wood, under a planter so that the switches aren't accidentally turned off.

I found this switchbox to be very positive, easy to use and completely watertight. My previous one had push buttons, one of which failed at the crucial moment of trying to re-install my pump! I had to tape the switch button down before it would work, not recommended. this one is a vast improvement.

Really nice well made and easy to wire. However no screws to attach it to anything supplied and when you do you have to make holes in the back which then make it not water proof. I used silicon sealant to reseal it and make it water proof. Product needs a bracket or something to attach it with rather than have to puncture the back to mount it

I needed a multiple switch for the pump and three filters (so I have two spare slots for future proofing) in my fountain coming off a single 13a supply. Having checked the ratings on the pump & filters and this switch all looked good and has worked fine. I guess this is the application it was designed for. My switch sits inside a manhole (with cover) so it's protected from the elements and allows me to individually switch each pump & filter which is great if ever I need to isolate one. Seems well made but was a bit fiddly to fit as connections small - no different to many electrical fittings!

A neat way to connect all my pond gadgets. Separate switches make it easy to clean the filters without switching anything else off.

I liked its sturdiness and design. Introducing the armoured cable was easy. Connecting the smaller wires was a bit fiddly. My main grouse was that there were no instructions for connecting the brass ring with earthwire attached. I phoned the maker, and their electrical specialist said my suggestion of attaching the ring to the armoured cable and the earth to the earth socket was probably right, but I should check with an electrician!! They make the thing and cannot give a definite answer!!!!!

Feels like a quality product. A little fiddly to connect the wires but once done they feel secure. Switches feel solid with a nice click when moving. Really happy with the purchase and would recommend.
