Beautiful Wood
You need to take your time, apply sparingly and allow to dry/be absorbed. Build up several coats but less is more.

Looked great at first, then as soon as water got on the oak it soaked in and went rough.
Recently have used this oil on 40mm oak block worktops. It looked great after the first 3 coats were applied (correctly leaving for the said amount of time to dry between coats) , however, after some water had got on the surface the oak went all rough and dull, as if it hadn't been oiled or sanded at all. After finishing again and repeat coat of oil the same issue is arising. All tops were sanded to a smooth finish. We used two separate tins for the work that was done so unsure as to weather it is a poor quality product or if it was something else like a faulty batch... Wouldn't use again personally as there are many other oils that have not had this issue with.
