I recently bought a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TDR Off Road. After upgrading the tires to off road and putting on a sick Snug Top XTR shell, there still seemed to be something missing. I ordered these hoping they would complete the look and they're practically perfect! I can't believe how great they are and how easy to install for how little they cost! See the before and after yourself. I am a 38 y/o woman with ZERO experience working on cars and I installed these 100% by myself in about 30 minutes start to finish. It was seriously so easy and straight forward! The instructions were perfectly clear and sufficient and all I needed was a socket wrench and a flat head screw driver for popping out the little plastic place holder screws that came in the truck. It looks SO much better now and is way easier to get in and out of for my 8 year old especially.Also, for the record, I really put this truck to work in terms of terrain and weather. I take packs of dogs off leash hiking in the mountains 3 days a week here in Salt Lake City rain or shine all year long. This truck (with these nerf boards) have been through numerous blizzards and snow and rain storms, slogged through mud and dirt and been through the car wash a dozen times now and they still look awesome! I never bottom out and scrape the bottoms on rough terrain (though the higher profile off road tires definitely help with that) and they still look basically like new!I will say you can tell a little that the quality may not be quite as high as other, more expensive or name brand running boards in the somewhat ill fitting plastic end caps, but it's not something that is very obvious to anyone but the person installing them and honestly it's a tradeoff I'm totally ok with for saving a bundle of money after paying a lot for the truck itself and the other upgrades.If you're on the fence, I would say to go for it and buy these. What do you have to lose besides a lot of money!? So far they have been great for me and I will update if for any reason I change my opinion. Good quality for your Toyota Tacoma.I chose this product based on the low price compared to other companies at almost triple the cost.The product comes as pictured safely packaged and marked for easy installation.Minimal tools required. 1/2 in socket/rachet and a flat head screw driver.It’s easily a one person job and should take about 20 to 30 minutes to install.Pictures included with my review.

So my one and only complaint is that the holes didn’t line up at all!!I admit that in the past I haven’t always read the instructions when putting things together but this time I actually did! Everything was going great up until putting the boards on the brackets! The instructions were super simple and I was so excited!! As you can see in my pictures the holes just didn’t line up, & I tried them every which way I could! Apart from drilling a hole in them, which I could do, I couldn’t find any way they could fit! Finally tried asking my local Toyota dealership and they told me it was because they were for an access cab. I’m pissed because I read so many great reviews before I bought it and made sure there were multiple other reviews with 2020 Tacoma Double cabs!Update: TAC customer service is horrible! Talked to me like I’m just a dumb woman and wanted me to pay $45 to return them! Finally got fed up and just called Amazon directly who of course refunded my money right away and apologized for the way the seller treated me! I know have to figure out what to do with the boards but at least I got my money back! Amazon is Amazing!!! TAC is pure crap!Also the correct boards were at my local dealership for only $10 more and they installed them for me at no extra cost!

These tube steps are a bargain. They are well made and simple to install (Do not tighten any bolts until all are in place...you need the play for alignment). They are sturdy and give the Tacoma a finished look. Only caveat is that I wish they extended a little further out from the truck body ( The step is a bit close for larger feet ). I would definitely recommend them and would buy them again.

I had bought some nerf bars for my truck that looked very similar to this, then someone hit me. They bent the nerf bars and the brackets on the passenger side, but luckily they didn’t damage the truck itself. Having loved the old ones so much, I tried to get them again, unfortunately they were no longer available. However, after searching I found these ones and was pretty excited to get and install them.I did that today and am very disappointed. They were a pain to put on with many of the holes not lining up with where the bolts needed to attach. With some help I managed to get them attached, then I stepped back to take a look. The first issue is that the brackets are so short that the steps are halfway under the truck, making them almost impossible to step on. Also, they are so high, that you’re basically stepping up to the level of the truck anyway. I should have paid more attention to the dimensions too. Last time I got 4 inch ovals, these three inch round ones look too small for my Tacoma.I’m not sure if it’s the size or the quality, but they also aren’t as sturdy. They seem to flex when I step on them.I’ll see if they start to grow on me after a while, but I’m probably going to end up getting rid of them and trying another brand.

Ive installed these on other vehicles, you really can't ask for anything easier. The brackets are even stamped with their location. Just leave all the hardware loose until all bolts are installed then tighten down, be sure its straight and where you want it. Total install time 45 minutes. Seem to be comparable quality to leading name brands, will update if anything starts to rust.*do yourself a favor and bring your truck through a car wash with undercarriage wash option. Where the bolt holes are is where all the dirt and mud kick up that a regular wash wont get, this will save you alot of stuff dropping in your face as you install.
