Ultra Massive Sega Genesis Guide: Ultra Massive Volume 4

As a fan of both Sega Genesis and Mark Bussler's Classic Game Room, I love this book. The book's writing maintains Mark's unique slant on life and way of looking at things. Reading any of the passages in this book, it's impossible not to hear Mark's booming voice in your head. "Banished from Earth Space, and Time, Classic Game Room!"

The previous three volumes were collections of information spread out across all of the various game consoles. The breadth of coverage limited the depth of each. This volume is dedicated to the Genesis, and its add ons, games, and peripherals. The abundant game reviews make for a much more satisfying guide than the others. Obviously you will appreciate it more if you are a hardcore Genesis fan. If I had known this was coming, I might have skipped the first three volumes. I would love volumes on the Saturn and PC-Engine next.

This book does a good job of informing the reader about the Genesis (and related) hardware, but it is SEVERELY LACKING IN THE GAME REVIEWS DEPARTMENT. It's nowhere near The Ultimate Nintendo Guide to the NES Library, which has reviews for virtually every NES title. That's what I was hoping for with this book, and so I was disappointed. But it's not complete garbage, by any means. I commend the author for putting this volume together, because, to my knowledge, this is the closest thing to a complete guide to the Genesis in existence.

Do you like Sega Genesis? If you do, then you have officially proven that you have good taste. This book is the pinnacle top book of all Sega Genesis books. It has tons of reviews, guidance, and blast-processing! With a hint of TRUXTON! Mark has definitely made me a happy customer. His works are high quality and great detail. He even tells stories and gives opinions. Love this book!

Anyone who collects for the Genesis or is interested in this era of video gaming will appreciate and enjoy this immensely. It’s a very entertaining and in-depth look into all of the hardware and games Sega offered during the “16 bit” era. Beautiful pictures of the systems, game artwork, and gameplay screenshots are on nearly every single page. Do yourself a favor and check this out, it’s been one of my favorites this year so far!

I felt like this was a beginner's guild to sega genesis nothing I haven't seen before. Definitely not worth 40 bucks. Whatever this book is, it's not an ultimate guide.Realistically this book is worth 1.99 usd.
