These wire removal keys for connectors worked very good. So good in fact, that I gave them to a friend that installs wiring harnesses for cars. I then ordered myself another set, with even more keys on it this time. Some of these keys fit a bit tight, but all worked on the respective plugs for which they were designed. Much faster, safer and easier to use than cutting and resoldering wires. Cheaper and less hassle too.

Kind of soft metal but it does the job easier

I broke the key inside the ignition (trying to turn my daughters car on) and it snapped in two. Half of the key was in my hand, and the other was inside the ignition - flush. I figured I’d be lucky if AAA helped with this sort of thing, but I got even luckier by ordering this Key Removal Kit.I circled the tool that will help, if you’re in the same situation I was. This was the specific tool that helped to get the key out. One other tool I used (and broke while using) that was “key”, no pun intended:A pointy ended eyebrow tweezer. None of the metal tools in this kit has the strength of hard steel; for the price you’re paying it makes sense. Using the tool with the “J” hook on the end is the only piece I needed. I tried the others and they weren’t helpful.It took me 25 minutes to wedge, prod, pick and pull out the other half of car key that was stuck in ignition. I was doing cartwheels afterwards, not believing I could do it!It’d be nice if someone sold a steel version of the J hook, since the rest of the tools are useless (for now anyway). I’m sure I’ll find a reason to use them in the future and so pleased it was under $7!I highly recommend this if you’ve broken your car key in half and it’s inside the ignition/rear or door.

A few came bent. Otherwise works good, albeit they are thin so be careful not to bend them.

Works great ! Got me out of a pinch a couple times . Metal is pretty sturdy but too much pressure will bend them

I have used them a few times and seem to work well. Idk how they would do for daily but so far so good.

Worked like a charm on 04 VW Beetle, able to finish the job. I previously purchased tools from Ebay vendor, they looked sturdy with handles and all. Trying to look let expensive version, but they were too thin and broke within 5 minutes. This product worked great, was able to replace 5 plugs and a total of around 20 wires and still going strong.

Quality exceeded my expectations, I was expecting thin easily bent construction like my previous set. This is far better, with better grip. I have one question the Deutsch pin tools are a bit loose on their handles. And the largest of them, the red, was crushed.
