I did a FULL COMPARISON between BLACK and the APP model (BROWN/WHITE)
I got the black one because it's the most professional looking. The item is a nice size, very good quality, and seems durable. After first use, I was highly impressed with this. The calf massage is my favorite, I didn't even think I'd like it! The machine does Shiatsu on the bottom, grabs the top of your foot with pressure, and pinches the Achilles all in random order. The heat is not as powerful as you'd think, but it's powerful on the seat itself (if used as an Ottoman). They could improve it by doing more of the upper foot squeeze when the Shiatsu is going on. My least favorite part is the Achilles pinch. It doesn't hurt like some people state, but it's sort of useless other than to hold your foot in place. Maybe a smaller foot would need this more. I'm a men's 11-11.5 US sizing, and my toes hit the ends of the soft sock lining inside. Size 12 must be the max, if that. The build quality is excellent. The plug location is kind of bad though. It's on the side, and it should be on the back. You may step on the plug and damage the port if you're not always thinking of it. The button next to the plug is to heat the Ottoman seat.I liked it so much that I ordered a second one for my girlfriend. I got her the "off white." There are two things to note here. The black version DOES NOT COME WITH THE APP OR BLUETOOTH. Only the brown and off-white version have this. I also read a review that these have superior massage quality, pressure, and are different. Therefore, I did an exact comparison.First off, the "off white" is PINK. Yep, it is ever so slightly pink. You can even see it in the dark, lol. It is not an attractive color. Go with the brown if you need the app. Secondly, the app. It does the EXACT same thing the buttons do. There are no extra features other than setting pre-programmed saves (I believe). Although, you can extend the duration from 15mins. It worked smoothly with a Samsung Fold 4. I just felt that it wasn't needed at all. After the first use, I just kept using the physical buttons. Grabbing my phone and connecting, etc. It's a waste of time for us.We both did 2 minutes per black/off white machine and compared our thoughts. We tried low/med/high in the exact configuration of each other. We both noticed zero difference. Then, just to be sure, I put them both side by side and put each of my legs in the outer most holes. The pattern (algorithm) is IDENTICAL. There is no pressure difference on high/low, etc. The pressure is all the same. The ONLY difference I felt after 20 mins or so, even resting and trying again fresh, was that the newer/app model had a slightly painful Shiatsu at some points. This could be, and probably is, due to quality control. However, it felt as if the slight metal/plastic on the Shiatsu roller was sharper and dug into your skin where the black one was duller, rounder, and just flowed better over your foot. When you have the top pushing down on you, it accentuates this as well. Again, this could have also been nitpicking because they were identical. The other review that claimed the power is so much better, the software is different, etc. they had placebo effect or their black one was defective. It is hands down the same pattern and force. The only reason to get the brown or off white is if you somehow prefer these colors over black. The app may offer firmware updates in the future, that is the other benefit. The app itself isn’t that useful, and we will not use it again. I also don’t like having random foreign apps on my phone, lol, but it seemed ok.In summary, the black one is amazing looking, powerful, comfortable, and the way this stores as very good looking furniture makes it fully worth it. No one wants a foot massager visible if they have decent décor. This is the ONLY thing like this that I could find. Good luck!

Have Fibromyalgia?
Yes I have fibromyalgia. As such, my feet, ankles, and legs hurt all day every day. I pick this up because of the compression and the heated parts. Been using it for about a month now, and it really does help my feet.Pros:The massage functions do work great on the feet. Just find the right settings for you.It really is just press a button and sit there and relax, runs for 15 mins.It makes for a great foot rest under my computer desk when folded down.Cons:The seat heating when folded isn't great. The heated feet parts I can barely feel. The highest setting for the feet, hurts more for me than relieves pain. But medium works great (find the one that works for you).

Good not great
I’Ve been using the massager a few times a week for the past couple of months and it works good. I have short legs so sitting on the couch I have to position it at an angle, this makes it so my calves are barely making contact and the vibration function is minimal. Everything else is great, the air compression is my favorite thing especially when it compresses on my achilles’.The best part of this massager is the fact that it folds into an ottomon, I love surprising people when they come over.

How can something so good have a catastrophic mistake!
Pros: I purchased the first foot massager for my wife for xmas along with the chair pad that has the app for the upstairs bed room they are very well made and yes i have a huge massage chair in the basement, The foot massager i sent back because i saw this new app/foot/calf massager so i sent the other model back when i received this model the foot/calf massager is way better then tha actual chair i have its one of the best massagers I've ever felt it actually tickles! on the low settingsCons: And its a huge problem yes the replacement i had to send back because they decided to place the cord on the right side of the foot/calf machine and yes taking your feet out and not thinking i stepped down on the cord and broke the unit as well as the cord very bad place to place the input for the unit!so when they desire to make a newer model hint: (please place the cord behind the machine) it will be highly unlikely that someone would ever put there feet back there when the calf machine is wright there!

Really helps!
I realized that the ottoman would be a bit heavy, but I don’t think I really grasped how heavy it would be for me. I am in my 70s and not as able to lift weights as I used to be. It is not on wheels, so it requires lifting to move it from place to place. Just a heads up! I would love wheels! When I first used the massager, I immediately loved the leg massage. The foot and ankle shiatsu was more than I could handle at first. I sopped it immediately. Nonetheless, my feet and ankles felt better. I think over time I will adapt myself to the shiatsu and work myself up to it.I very much like that there are several levels and combinations of massage.I don’t expect to be using the heated ottoman but it is nice to know that it is there if I want it.It took me a little while to open the level adjuster because I had to pull it quite hard to get out of the bottom of the ottoman and was afraid that I would break the plastic. I persevered and it works just fine. Do not be reluctant to pull it pretty hard.I would definitely recommend this. I would love to have wheels on it (which is why I subtracted half a star)But that’s just me. Otherwise it’s a 5-star item.

Great book *BUT* download the free web version instead, the formatting in this version is terrible
I really like this book. It's well written, clear and comprehensible and deserves 5 stars.*BUT* this version on the Kindle store contains very poor formatting in the command line examples to the point where it's very hard to read. The table of contents is also top-level only with no sub-topics.The differences are so large I highly recommend downloading the latest version from the official web site. Search for pro git ebook english chacon straub and it should be at the top of the results (Amazon doesn't allow URLs in reviews). The mobi format version will work fine in Kindle readers and is a great improvement on the Kindle store version, though you will lose out on syncing bookmarks and notes. Both versions are labelled 'Second Edition'. Hard to compare the versions directly but the web version appears to be more recent. The web version is Version 2.1.153, 2019-06-27. The Kindle store version is labelled ISBN 978-1-4842-0077-3e-ISBN 978-1-4842-0076-6 DOI 10.1007/978-1-4842-0076-6 © Apress 2014.

Yeah, not do good...
Probably excellent for nerds that need to go deep. But I'm a nerd who needs info fast, and that info also needs to be succinct, i do not have time in life to read all the super content in this book.So good book, but I gave it to the charity shop.

Felt it was time I paid for a copy ...
I have downloaded both the first and second editions as eBooks and read/used them on my Kindle. & Mac over a number of years. But I do prefer a physical book for learning and felt some payback was due on my part. My only gripe is the index, every command refers to a page (407-417), where there's a brief description which in turn refers to a chapter.

Excellent for learning foundations of git
This is really in depth and written in an accessible way, a good complement to the git website.

Kindle Edition doesn't do this justice.
This book really helps you understand and get into grips with GIT, but the formatting on the kindle version of this isn't great. I've also got the physical copy of this book, which is a lot easier to follow and read.
