Excellent book on printing
This book gives the reader a solid foundation for printing great photographs from Lightroom and Photoshop. Many books either just skirt this issue or are so complicated talking about the physics of printing that they are over the head of most users (like me). This gives you a clear concise method to set up your photos in Lightroom and Photoshop and get the picture you wand off your printer. Great book and Robin Whalley's series of books are a necessity for any photographer.

Just the right length. Quality over Quantity
I have read four or five of Mr. Whalley's books and find his style or writing well suited to the serious amateur. This is me with emphasis on the "amateur". I have always been overwhelmed at the the perplexities and options presented by various software programs and printer set up menus. Two hours with this book - reading it slowly, cover to cover and now I have a very firm grasp of the numerous elements that go into making a high quality print. Thanks so much for exposing these mysteries in such a straight forward and easy to grasp manner. I have felt the same about each of his books and have bought the only remaining two that I have not read and will end this review so I can get started on them. Next up is the book he has on Nix Sharpener. The only problem with his writing is that I seem be to able to read them faster than he can produce them. From Lijiang China - Photographers heaven.

but did not do things like boost the structure or contrast a bit
Gave me some things to try before I make a print. I had already calibrated my monitor and printer, but did not do things like boost the structure or contrast a bit. The other thing it gave me for slightly blue pictures was to use a preset to adjust the pictures before printing. I am using non OEM printer ink, and for some reason the blue is a bit strong.

Comprehensive and useful
I thought Robin was quite straight forward and thorough with the subject matter while (yes I’m American) still being concise enough so as not to lose me. I’m really looking forward to trying out his suggestions for making much better prints with my new Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer.

Seems to bean overview
Lacks details and favors Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I like some of the information but the book felt like it was just touching the surface.

A clear, straightforward explanation of the things you need to know and the steps to take to get good prints.
Exactly what I was looking for! The first part of the book gives you a clear explanation of what you need to know and simple step-by-step instructions of what you need to do. The second part gets into a little deeper explanation, but doesn't get too theoretical or complicated. My first prints after reading this came out perfect! Thank you, Robin!

Perfect Prints
Perfect Prints is an eBook that anyone can afford. There is an art to photography and an art to getting the processed picture right for printing. You would not believe how much is involved in the process. I decided to follow the advise and low and behold my first print from my photo-printer came out perfect and just as I saw it on the screen. I would not have achieved this without reading this book and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants first class prints.

Excellent Advice
Another 1st class book from RW. Follow the advice and produce better prints. One tip :- Go to the end of the book first and look at the summary. Then determine which part of the process you need to brush up on and find it in the meat of the book.

The answer to every photographer's printing problems
As usual, Robin sets all the details out very clearly. I have been soft proofing and printing for years from Photoshop, and it was good to have it confirmed that I was doing the right thing, but also to gain some extra tips. It has also been great to discover how to do this from Lightroom, as I had never been able to work this out. Thanks again, Robin, for your invaluable help.
