Floor Muffler Floating Wood and Laminate Flooring High-performance Acoustical Underlayment & Moisture Barrier with Self Sealing Overlap System - 2 roll bundle

I used this for an underlay for my engineered bamboo flooring. Because of the way the two pack was packaged, both rolls are flattened just a little on one side. When unrolling it, this made it extremely difficult to lay flat over the sub flooring without putting heavy objects on it. I had to pull the underlayment tight before laying down each piece, otherwise you could hear the gaps as you walked over the floor, especially on the seams.

Product does a good job under click-lock wood flooring. Makes the floor sound right and absorbs some irregularities. Floor does have a crunchy sound initially, probably from the foam settling, adjusting, etc., but I expect this to stop. Overall, I would and will use it again. The folded over pink strip is two-ply, but initially it doesn't seem like it because it clings to itself. After you cut a piece, feel the cut end of the pink strip and you will see it is actually doubled over. Unfolding this does allow the adjoining strips to tape to each other. I did have to supplement with a staple occasionally as the stuff wants to roll up after laying it. I also used Tyvek tape at places where I had to cut the pink strip off at doorways, etc. Overall, a very good product and reasonably priced compared to other options.

Bought a 700' roll of this product last year,and used it for an engineered wood floor.Nice and thick,nice cushion.Was running short of the material for the next room so ordered what I thought was the same thing in 2 100' rolls.The first delivery got here in 2 days,the second order took over a month.When it got here the quality was not the same as the first order.Much lighter,thinner material,not nearly as tough.For supposedly being the top of the line,it ain't

Used in new sun porch for laminate flooring. Floor installer said it worked well. The 2 100 sq foot rolls were plenty for 12' x 15' room.

Great to use. The only thing that I would suggest is buying a roll of tyvek tape to patch holes (which were inevitable for me) and to seam the short ends if needed and other seams that are not parallel lines.

A floor installation professional told us this was the best product to use under our new strand bamboo floor, and we took his advice when we did our own installation. It's light, thin, easy to cut and install, and it works beautifully. When you walk across a floor under which Floor Muffler has been installed, the sound of your steps is much harder to hear, which in turn creates the illusion that you are actually walking on a thicker floor. We've also gone to the story below the one where we installed the floor, and hearing someone walk across it is nearly impossible.Excellent product, and while it is a little pricey, we think the effect is worth the money.

Be careful....ordered 2 sets of 2 from this seller 2 of the 4 had creases in the pad almost like it was folded over. This has made the product UNUSEABLE for reoughly 25% of each roll. Not a good experience.

So I got the laminate planks at one of the big box stores at a great price and needed the underlayment. They wanted to sell me theirs but I played dumb knowing what was here on Amazon. When I showed him the picture from my Amazon phone app, he said that Floor Muffler was one of the best out there and that he wished that they carried it. 'nuff said. I thanked him for his time, then added to cart.It arrived without issue and went down really easy. Note: It's kinda fragile and will puncture/tear if you arent careful.
