may be helpful for those with any auditory processing deficits
I got this for my daughter who had some auditory processing deficits. She does not have auditory processing disorder which is the more serious disorder. Even having some listening deficits causes problems with language. I don't know if her deficits are due to ADHD or Tourette's Syndrome. She can be particular about the way things sound. She reacts if the sounds seem odd to her. She listened to this tape when she was younger and she liked the exercises. She repeated back what she heard. I myself thought the exercises were odd. Maybe the purpose is to be somewhat puzzling and draws children to want to repeat what they hear. My daughter did say, "I like that tape". She did not like tapes that drilled the math tables. They were confusing. I just assumed that the purpose of this tape may not be about being rigid, orderly, or linear.. My daughter reacts to some sensory things like the way something looks, feels, or sounds. She does like music and audiobooks. However, she will scream and won't listen if she does not like the sound of the singer or reader's voice. Another child with sensory issues may not like the sounds on this tape. I was surprised when my daughter did like it.

just plain weird
The songs were not interesting, upbeat, fun tunes that would encourage a child to join in. The music was unusual, the lyrics were not helpful for speech production. In no way would I recommend this product. It was a waste of money.
