Pecorino Toscano PDO - Aged Sheep Cheese - Whole wheel 4.2 lbs / Kg. 1.8

Was initially looking for an excellent aged parmasan....Having read the reviews for this one, I took a chance. OMG!!! It is without a doubt one of the most delicious cheeses I've ever tasted! I can't stop eating it -- only a few days after receiving it and I'm already down to a half circle. I've lived all over the globe, and this cheese surpasses everything. I will be purchasing more, and more, and more, for life. YUM!!! BTW: IT WAS DELIVERED WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS, AND FROM ITALY NON THE LESS. Do your tastebuds (and health) a favor, and buy this cheese.

Excellent quality /super authentic. Straight from Italy

Love this cheese and bought it 3 or 4 times but I now try to buy it at a cheese shop in NYC because this is shipped in environmentally unfriendly shredded plastic. Odd for an Italian cheese.

The box arrived from Italy and there was an intense odor after opening. Do not be disturbed by this. After unpacking and removing a little shredded packing material stuck on the rind and then placing the whole wheel in a large Ziploc bag, the odor disappeared. I googled how to cut a larger cheese wheel and it was simple. It fairly quickly split in half, then into quarters. I didn't have the same knives as were recommended, but a good paring knife to score, plus a big butcher knife to puncture a few inches down into the center easily did the trick. It began to naturally separate. Needs a little help after. I just wish I knew how to better cut away the rind. I love this cheese and will order again from Parma.

So the cheese is of good quality I liked it but it was a little warm when it arrived I feel like you pay a little bit more than you should for this especially considering the fact that from what I see most of them come in warm which they definitely should not. If this was 30 or $40 cheaper it would definitely be worth it.

This came all the way from Italy in THREE days. I did pay for the expedited shipping and it was worth it. This may be one of my favorite cheeses I have ever had. It has a great texture and a bit of the graininess of an aged cheese I love. it also has a bit of what I call the "barnyard" taste sheep's milk cheese can have that I also love. Goes amazing with some red wine , speck and bread. Would definitely recommend it. My only negative is they packaged it with some kind of stuff that looks like cellophane noodles that was a mess. it was hard to get it all off the cheese. Maybe put the cheese in a bag then use that packaging if you must. But this would not stop me from ordering it again!!

I was so looking forward to tasting this cheese but the wheel i got was a big disappointment. The cheese is supposed to be soft, but only the center was. i had to throw out about 30% to 40% of it. The outside (at least one to two inches) was hard as a rock and not edible. I kept cutting until it became soft. The inside was soft and delicious. But it ended up being too expensive. Unfortunately, i will never buy this cheese on Amazon again. Big mistake. If you buy, make sure you get a fresh wheel.

I could not have made a better choice. Has a nice flavors and taste, complements well dry white wine and goes well with grapes. It is a little on a dry side but that is the result of long aging.
