Plastic. Functional.
These are functional, but for the price lack the fit and finish of more expensive adapters.Pro: it holds my micro SD card without too much sticking out from the slot on my macbook pro.Not so pro: there's definitely a protruding lip that can still get caught.But hey, it does the trick and at a great price. Just without the style associated with my particular brand of choice.
