Formotion SL-11000 Superleggera Series White Multi-Mount Thermometer

Bought this to mount on our RZR as we really like to see what the temperature is when exploring the mountains and desert. Although it is very nicely made and is very classy looking on our dash board, it only reads the temperature of the RZR itself and so we are going to take it off and replace it. We were so disappointed. Not sure if the unit itself only reads the temp it is mounted on or what. .

The Formotion products are super, but their customer service sucks. I was having a problem with my four motion clock that I use on my boat.I replaced the battery and was unable to install the back. I called customer service at least five times and never got a call back I still haven't gotten a call back and that was weeks ago. I sent them emails at least three emails and I never got a response to any of my emails.so if you want to good product go ahead and buy the clock or the thermometer they work great and hold up to the elements. But don't count on having good customer service because you won't.

Mounted this to my motorcycle. As long as it's in the shade the temp is accurate, but unfortunately on a motorcycle it's often in the sun. Problem is my fault, not the product's.

This is a great looking thermometer but don't rely on it for an accurate reading in most places. It is very sensitive to sunlight and background heat, even in the shade. I put put it on my boat even after reading other reviews about it and it is usually 10-15 degrees hight. I tested it for accuracy according to manufacturers instructions and under test conditions was satisfactorily accurate.

metal guage in the sun reads 100 degrees. it is pretty, but I should have known better. mounting needs much better description. formation has many different clocks and mounting varies quite a bit.

Beautiful finish and has great look to it. But I find that the temperature readings can be up to 3 degrees off. The guage is a nice addition to a boat dashboard.

I wanted to mount this on my Road King using the dash console screw but it won't work. The thermometer face sits too far down into the base to use with any screw. I think the only way to mount is using the 3M sticky pad. Low rating for usability but it does seem to be of good quality.

I like this cute little gem for inside my car. Occasionally the stickem fails and the thermometer falls but it's not far and I pick it up and re-stick it to it's location. Perhaps if it happens too much and the stickem loses it's sticky, I'll find another adhesive for it.
