Great for the price and a good range

I bought these for my grandsons 11th Birthday as he wanted to share this with his friends, I had bought others in the past, but they were cheap and cheerful, and didn’t last.These are a robust but light walkie talkie, not complicated to use, each unit has its own charging dock, and it uses earphones. My grandson wanted them for when he goes hiking, and other hobbies, so if anyone from the group were to wander, they can keep in touch. They are a great buy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a reliable set of walkie talkies.

The radio quality is not great. I was dissapointed with the sound quality of the radio as it was not clear even in short distance. The radio quality and ear pieces seemed a little cheap too

This two way radio pack was purchased as we were as a family going to visit a large open air museum. Thankfully the lack of the earphones did not affect the sue for us - but maybe in future this could be an issue when a more 'confidential' use of the radios may be needed. Charge well and good range though

I got these assuming them to be PMR446 radios, using the licence free 446Mhz frequency, but actually they are not. They also use some frequencies reserved for Business Radio (Police & Fire) and Scanning Telemetry so you could find yourself in trouble for using these. None of the frequencies this radio transmits on are legal in the UK without an appropriate licence.With a lead available from Baofeng, you could probably reassign the frequencies to the PMR range, but as PMR radios are also limited to 0.5watts of power, and these are 5watts you would still be breaking the law.Ignoring the legalities for the moment, these are ok radios for the price. Very easy to use, possibly too simplified, with no squelch control. Turn them on, pick a frequency channel, and away you go. There are other option that can only be turned on or off with a special lead to alter the settings, but as a basic radio they work well.The quality is not worth the risk of a visit from Ofcom however - get a legal PMR radio and give these a miss.

Seriously impressed with these walkies talkies. The range on them is great, and the sound is very clear. You can attach clips to the back of each one, so you can hook it on yourself. They also come with wrist straps too. Charging them is easy and the battery life is good. There is also the option to plug a earpiece in and talk through that, for covert use. Really good.
