Legrand adorne sofTap Tru-Universal Dimmer Switch, 700W (Incandescent, Halogen, MLV, Fluorescent, ELV, CFL, LED), Magnesium Finish, ADTP703TUM4

I replaced a lutron dimmer with this Adorne dimmer from Legrand. It's pricey but worth it! It really has a sleek look to it and has a nice feel when you are adjusting the brightness of your light or turning them off. It also has nice backlighting so it's easy to see the dimmer in a dark house. I've installed several of Adorne's slider dimmers and also several of the Adorne basic paddle switches. This is by far my favorite (also the most expensive) but I chose the upgraded dimmer style as it controls the hanging chandelier in the entry to our house so the dimmer is very visible right next to the staircase. It has added a nice "wow" element and is also highly functional.

Pros:The Legrand Adorne line of switches look great - they give your home an expensive feel/look.They are easy to install.These dimmers are truly universal - they work for LEDs, CFLs, and regular light bulbs. They come out of the box pre-programmed with a limited range. If you want to go dimmer or brighter you can reprogram it.Cons:These have a relatively high failure rate. I have about 15 of these dimmers installed and in 4 years 3 of them have failed. When they fail, they either won't turn off or won't turn on.Installing them is easy, but replacing them is a pain. You pretty much have to remove the mounting bracket from the wall to pop the switch out from the back.

I had a difficult time shelling out the money for new outlets and switches while redoing my kitchen. Now that it is done, I'm very happy that I did. Along with Magnesium sockets, soft tap switches, and stainless steel plates, this dimmer switch (for the bar lights) topped it off. When the switch is turned on, it automatically goes to the last setting it was on when you turned it off. When turning off, it it dims all the down and then turns off. The light bar on the dimmer add a nice glow also. Couldn't be happier.

Purchased this with future plans to use it in my kitchen. By time the switch was installed it wouldn't work. I had 4 recessed lights wired in series to the switch and nothing except the lights on the switch worked. Luckily I had purchased a different soft tap switch that worked. Of course by the time I was ready to install the item it was too late to return it

A really great light switch with a slick design element! Very modern looking and I love how it dims with just a touch. You can set it from bright to dim very smoothly. We have them in our dining room and kitchen, and bought the red one for our son's room. Well worth it!

Great touch, slow dimming into turning off creates an elegant display when turning lights off. Thought was put into this switch

I was going for a specific light level and temp in my bathroom and tried a bunch of different LEDs. This didn't dim more than half. Replaced it with a Lutron that worked perfectly.

These are beautiful. Everone who sees them asks about them. Nice features -- remembers the last setting, slowly goes off. I'm using for MLV dimmable recessed LED cans and I'm not getting any flickering.
