Necropolis

I really dig "Necropolis" since i saw it the first time in the early 90s on VHS.I was totaly happy & exited when i saw that Full Moon now released it on DVD.When my DVD finaly arrived and i had it in the Player immediately the disenchantment and disappointment kicked in!It is a VHS Transfer in poor quality - sad that Full Moon didnt bothered to remaster it digital.When you play the DVD there is also a note, that Full Moon used the best available source for the DVD.Strangely i've seen this "Necropolis" a couple years ago on a Cable Channel (on "Impact") and it there it had a crisp & clear quality.If you like "Necropolis" and just want to own it, no matter if the quality is poor, go ahead an buy it.If you care a lot about a good clean quality, skip on this one please!

You're never going to love this movie but it is a nice example of the 80's indie horror scene from New York.An ancient witch reincarnates over the generations to exact revenge time and time again on the descendants of the earliest settlers on Manhattan island who did away with her many moons ago.There is some good guerilla filming on the night time streets of the city that give the flick a nice edge.Also check out Mutant Hunt and Slime City from the same era filmed in the Big Apple.
