Models OwnNow Brow! - Brow Tint Kit - Medium Brown

My friend has had chemotherapy, her eyebrows just about survived but they are very fine, and I thought this might help. Oops!The kit is easy to use but the result was a patchy mess. It just seemed to have painted over the brows rather than adding colour and filling out the gaps.I'm not sure what went wrong but I have spent the last several days apologising to her for making her feel even more self-conscious.

This Brow Tint Sets comes in a little, re-closable plastic bag, which keeps everything nicely together. It includes a pigmented waterproof brow tint, plus a handy brush and tray. This is really for those younger, and more fashionable, than me – but I bravely tried it out, along with my niece. The brush is particularly nice – you can make it longer, by pushing the lid onto the brush, which makes it much easier to hold.In terms of design and the quality of the set, this is really nice. I had mixed results with the tint – I think I was too sparing and scared to really add enough tint. My niece, who is both braver and much younger than me, looked much better when we had completed our testing. I really was impressed with this though and the little bag is just perfect to keep everything together.

As a beautician, this product is awful. There are no instructions. It is not waterproof, and comes off patchy. Ill stick to my own usual proffesional one. Thankfully i tried it on myself first.

Until now I have infilled my eyebrows with a touch of brown eye shadow. My brows are medium brown, not too sparse but have little gaps. I rather like this product although the first time I tried I used far too much and the effect was very blocky. You only need the tiniest amount, squeezed onto the small metal tray provided. Then you take the brush and dab it onto the sparse areas o f your brows. The second time round it was much easier to apply correctly and in no more than a minute I had produced a very satisfactory result. This is definitely something I would buy in future. It is hard to say how long the tube will last - it isn't the largest tube but then you only need a very small amount of gel. I would guess this will last several months.

I have fair, sparse brows and pale skin, so filling in my brows is as big a makeup must-have for me as applying mascara is for other people, because otherwise I look like an egg. I usually fill in my brows using pencils and/or matte eyeshadows but wanted to try a gel product on my brows as I've heard and read loads of positive things about how well they work. Will a gel look as natural as a powder? Will it have a lasting tinting effect? Lets find out...If you have sparser brows and/or want to darken fair brows, then this product looks too harsh on to ever be called natural - it's like drawing on brows with a felt tip pen. I gave this kit to my sister to use on her slightly fuller and darker brows, and it does look great on her - so people who have more to work with should enjoy this kit. The packaging [and the Models Own website] doesn't say who the product will and won't work for, which is annoying. Most annoying to me is the fact that this hasn't left any lasting tint to my hairs - and darkening my brows longer term is why I wanted to test this kit. Again I'm going to complain about the lack of information about this product; nowhere says it definitely will have a lasting tinting effect, but nowhere said that it didn't either, so I had to guess what exactly I was getting.I'll go to a three star rating because as well as working somewhat, this kit is easy to use by yourself and the process only takes one to two minutes per brow. Plus you only need a tiny amount of the tint each use, so this will last for at least three months. If you only have slight gaps in your brows, then this does a nice job of filling in the spaces. However if you have very sparse brows like me, then I'd advise thinking twice about ordering this product.

OK==OK, a tip. If you are old, or not particularly fashionable this is not for you. If you want a strong, definitive brow this is ideal. It's what is often called the scouse brow. The strong brow that on an older person can look stupid or like Denis Healey.  The Time of My Life This a tint. That means it's permanent. The blurb doesn't highlight this.So if you want a waterproof permanent strong brow, this is one to consider.EASY=====Easy to apply, but not very easy. It's best if someone else applies it. This is a nice little tint set that gives a really nice natural colour once you get the hang of using it.The first few times I used too much and made it far too thick and wide, however once you get the art of it you can really make a lovely look.I really recommend these

An interesting brow kit, which takes a bit of practise and skill to learn to apply properly. The results, once you have got the hang of it, are good and the makeup stays in place all day until you attack it with makeup remover.
