Works as its supposed to. No plugs, No batteries, no connections to the phone. Just reliable.

Does the job
You do have to adjust the humidity was off luckily had another one that I know was working well, but they are adjustable in the back

Nice, but thermometer is not so useful
The Uppon hygrometer looks really nice and seems to be accurate. I like the colored zones on the humidity scale. They make it easy to see if the humidity levels are good or not.A thermometer is included, which is nice, but the Fahrenheit scale is not very useful. The Celsius scale is on the top with normal temperature intervals (10, 20, 30, etc). The Fahrenheit scale is underneath that, but it uses the same scale as the Celsius temperatures on top. So the intervals between Fahrenheit temperatures are very awkward. For example, it jumps from 68 to 86. If the temperature is somewhere between these numbers, it's impossible to know precisely what the reading is. They should have put a separate Fahrenheit scale on the thermometer like almost all other F/C thermometers. I took away one star for this flaw. The primary function of the device (hygrometer) is great!

Looks nice, accurate and easy to read.
Accurate and works well. Easy to calibrate if needed.

Nice large dial and pretty accurate
I bought this for use in my wood shop. I know the humidity was starting out quite high (nearly 80%) and wanted to gauge my progress as I ran a dehumidifier. Before using this, I gave it the 'standard' calibration test the involves putting it in a zip lock bag with a salt slurry and could see that it was reading about 76% (a perfect reading would have been 75%). The unit does have a screw-driver adjustment on the back in case this tiny error is bothering you. A 1% error might be of concern with a humidor, but it was plenty close enough for me to know that I would not have problems with moisture on my tools once I got the humidity down in the 50% range.

It's not accurate at all... Disappointing.
I cannot get this to read accurately. Out of the box, I placed it on my nightstand next to a digital unit (also newly purchased) & an alarm clock that shows temperature. I wasn't sure which units were correct so I wanted to compare. I left them for 6 hrs and this analog unit didn't match the others. Leaving them overnight: they all remained the same, respectively. Then, I moved the units to my hallway where my ecobee is {Photo doesn't show this unit, but only the digital one. This unit is sitting nearby though}. Within 5 hrs, the digital one essentially matched the ecobee readings. This analog unit did not budge from the previous reading in the bedroom.I moved them both into my dining room. The 2 photos on the table are from 24 hrs, then 36 hrs: the humidity readings were still quite off from the digital unit. After the 24hr mark, I did try to adjust the humidity by 3 notches/% and adjusted the temperature to match all my other household units. To more accurately test, I then wrapped the unit in a damp cloth towel & left it for 2 hrs. It read 90% and not 100%. Instead of adjusting the calibration by 10% to 100% after this 1st test, I tried the salt test. I initially placed it in a ziploc type bag overnight w/ the salt slurry, but the hygrometer didn't budge. Perhaps the baggie I used was too thin to create a closed environment. So I placed it in a container with the salt slurry & left it for almost 2 days. See photo: its barely at 50% and not 75% relative humidity from the salt.I took the lid off the container to allow it to come back to 'normal' and after 4 hrs, it's now sitting at 10%. That's the fastest this gauge has even shifted! My home in general is not at 10% humidity, especially on the kitchen counter. Thus, having only adjusted the humidity by 3% and not more, this unit is bouncing all over the place, albeit slowly. The temperature reading has settled into a more accurate reading, but not the humidity. I am returning it as defective.

Well made
I use this thermometer/humidity gage in my basement to monitor humidity in the summer mostly. It seems accurate and well made and easy to read and has a nice appearance to it too. Highly recommended.
