I bought these to control a couple of lights. We've had similar electronic timers before, so I knew what to expect - programming them is straightforward enough once you've done it a couple of times.Only thing to note is that you will probably need a paperclip, pin or something small to reset the timer on arrival. Both of mine were unable to be programmed until they sat a few minutes plugged in and the reset button pushed (which required the aforementioned paperclip to fit in the hole).

Bit difficult to set up trial and error but works well with my aqarium as i had a night light as well as a day light and was always forgetting to put the night light on when the day light went on but it works well

This timer plug is fully functional, much better than my current smart plug. There are more than enough programmed to set up, and it can save energy by setting for peak and off peak time, great design to have a battery back up in case of emergency.
