My First Ukulele For Kids: Learn To Play: Kids Kindle Edition

This beginner's method book, while providing fun activities and appropriately levelled songs, contains numerous errors, typos, and even pictures of the wrong instrument! This is a ukulele book and my students love pointing out the pictures of guitars that the editor somehow missed. Some words are in bold that shouldn't be, some chords are wrong. Easy enough for me to make the adjustments as I go along and point them out to my students, but a new edition should definitely come out with some editing.

This book is beyond a rip-off! It only teaches 4 chords and out of the 8 songs the book has you only use all 4 chords in 1 song. This is definitely NOT complete and therefore will leave you with more questions. I have seen kids books that contain over 200 pages not even worth this much money (considering you are getting 30 pages for almost ten bucks, it’s not a good deal at all!) The Ukulele I bought brought a song book and 12 chord chart laminated card, both of which contain more information than this book.I get it, it’s for kids, but this will simply frustrate your kid because he will only learn 4 chords and you because you have to spend more money on something you don’t even know if your child will commit to yet. Great book for kids. Only teaches C,F,G7,Am chords but the songs are good and the instruction is great. My 7 year old daughter has read the whole book, pretty much taught herself chords from it, and loves playing the songs.

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter who is just learning the okay the uke. It is simple and easy for both my daughter and me to understand. Great beginner book.

The only problem I have with this set, and I did buy two sets, is the strings. I cannot get it to tune because the plastic strings are bendy and cheap and won't hold a note. The construction is solid and good and the tuner and book and everything else is adequate. It's actually a pretty nice setup but the strings are it's achilles. Plan on buying new strings if you get this.

This is a fun easy book to learn the ukulele with. When it comes to learning up and down strokes and singing along while you play it couldn’t get any easier than the way this book teaches it. I have bought three books so far so yes I would recommend it to any beginner. Got to start somewhere

This is a well made product and is standing up nicely to my 4 year old and even when it gets into the hands of my 1 year old. It is so fun hearing my son play songs and sing. It is a good fit for him and easy to use and hold.

A fine presentation of playing the ukulele for kids and for Me. Both my granddaughter and I enjoy it and refer back to it again and again. Love the songs!

My daughters have just turned 4 and 6 so I wanted a very, very simple child-friendly Uke book we could use as a family. This is about as simple as it gets and while the kids are not yet truly fluent readers with adult guidance they've been able to go through it exploring the concept of frets, nots, chord and rhythms. The book therefore does exactly what I wanted.There are not that many songs in the book but they are super-familiar ones so easy to work with as everyone knows the tune.

Nice for absolute beginners.If you’ve got a bit of musical knowledge, you might want to go for something more, as you can probably learn everything in this book from the internet.I’m lazy, so liked not to research and just have it all together.Only covers four chords.

Apart from turkeys saying woof-woof (?) and one cord wrong it seems so far to be a good book for very basic cord comprehension!!!

Really good for the whole family, children loved it and we actually thought it was rather fab and was very much involved when this came out

This book made no sense at all to any of us so maybe we are all a bit thick in our house. We found it totally confusing and gave up.
