Everything you wanted in a small package
Mine came with the power button rather than tuning, but I prefer that. I can tune it with my ears, but the volume and power button is combined, so it's possible for it to be silent but still on. There's a click when you turn it on/off, but still.See my photo for how small this thing is. A very personal, satisfying radio. The tuning dial is in a recessed panel on the side so it doesn't stick outside the frame. You can put it in your pocket and not worry. I don't have AM's this rural, but I got a weather band easy. I might get a bigger radio for my new apartment, but this one is coming with me when I go on a walk.

Perfect Size for Walking
I purchased this because of the size. I was looking for a small radio to take with me when I go walking. This easily fits into the pocket of my jacket so I can easily listen to the radio hands free without an ear piece when I am walking. The signal strength is fine. I live in a suburb of New York City and have no problems getting my usual stations.Since the radio is small, you have to move the tuning dial very slowly to get your station. I did this with similar radios when I was young so this was not a big deal for me, but it might take some getting accustomed to if you've never used a radio like this.I have only used the radio a few times but so far I am very pleased.

Great for a lightweight source of entertainment and weather bands.

A good simple radio!
The media could not be loaded. I got this radio mainly for the NOAA weather band functionality and it does just that very well. It arrived just in time for several rounds of severe weather over the course of 4 days. I follow the weather closely so when I knew severe weather was coming in and I needed to do other things I would just turn it on and leave it nearby. My local weather tower comes in clear as day and I am able to pick up about 3 other ones, one of them being 80 miles away with some static but you can hear it well enough. If you want to look up NWS radio towers near you search for "nwr coverage map".Besides the weather I have also found myself just using it for noise when I'm outside. The batteries seem to last a while. It's been about a week and it's still on the same set of Amazon rechargeable batteries which are a few years old now and it's still going, albeit with on/off use over the past week. Now if you are looking for a NOAA "alert" radio this is not it! A NOAA alert radio stays on standby and rings an alarm when a weather alert comes in. On this radio you have WB, FM, and AM options, so you have to manually turn it on and set it to WB to get incoming weather alerts. For me this is fine and like I said it IS a simple little radio and just what I wanted. You can't beat it at this price!

Old School, But Smaller
In my metro area, the reception on this tiny thing is fantastic, typically even with the antenna retracted. During the summer, I'm able to listen to the baseball games while working around the house, either on the speaker or through WIRED earbuds. A headphone jack? Yes, thank you!

So-so reception.
I live in a major city with lots of local stations with transmitters only a few miles away, so this radio works OK at home. But on the road is a different story. For any distance, its performance is spotty at best. Whether FM, AM or WX radio, the reception will be weak or non-existent if you are more than 20 or 30 miles away.

Retekess PR 15 Small Pocket Radio - Great little pocket radio!
Great little pocket size radio! I just received the Retekess PR15 small pocket AM/FM/Weather radio. This radio has a great narrow band, so you only hear the AM or FM station you are tuned-in (Other AM/FM radios bleed in other nearby station frequencies out of the receiver into the speaker - bad filtering!). This radio has a small speaker (while many small radios nowadays offer only earplug jacks), but the receiver circuit and speaker gives crisp sound for music and talking (News, Weather 162 MHz band). It is not a stereo (twin speakers) FM radio, but sounds pretty darn good anyway! The receiver picks up many stations and is now one of my better AM/FM/Weather radios. 24Jan2024 UPDATE: I just bought a set of 8 new re-chargable AAA batteries (from Amazon) for cost savings with this PR15 radio, which gives me plenty of charged backup AAA batteries when away from home. I do the same (AA re-chargable batteries) for my small ham radios and devices. 26Jan2024
