We can’t get mic & receiver to sync. We also don’t own a “speaker” big enough to accommodate adapters. Can we exchange for smaller scale mic?

You need a amp/speaker combo for this system to work with 1/4" or 1/8" input for the wireless receiver.

Can you connect this to an amp?

The Receiver supports 3.5 & 6.5mm jack, fits almost all Speakers, Soundbar, Mixer, Power Amplifier, etc(❤Notice: Not For Phone. We also don’t recommend to use this mic on small speaker under 15 watts).

At the same time, the Receiver also has Bluetooth function. When the Receiver is plugged into speaker, we can connect Receiver via Bluetooth to play background music if you need.
