Simple Drip Tofu Press – Easily Removes Water from a Tofu Block. Includes a Built in Tofu Strainer and Attachable Drip Tray

This is a great little press! It’s simple, yet effective, and makes the decision to make tofu a no brainer. It takes all of 1 minute to get the tofu out of the package and into the press, with no mess and no wasted paper towels. I can’t tell you how many times I decided “I’ll do it later” when I used the paper towels and weights method. With this press, there’s no procrastination because it’s so easy. Yes, you have to turn the knobs all the way down, but they spin freely, so there’s no work involved until you meet the top plate. Clean up is easy, and no, the tofu doesn’t get stuck in the holes of the bottom plate. The end result is a much drier block of tofu, with no babysitting or changing paper towels. I make tofu at least once a week now because this little gadget makes it so easy to do.

We bought this tofu press, after buying (and returning) a different one. The original press we got was one of the "clamp type" that gives you no control over the pressure setting of the press. We tried it a couple of times, and it broke the tofu each time.THIS press works very well, and allows almost micro-precision adjustment of the pressure on the tofu. However, it is not perfect IMHO. If you want to take it apart, to clean it, you have to turn the knobs a LOT of times. They just spin and spin, until they are off. Too bad there isn't a quick release, of some kind, for this. And I wish the water catching tray actually attached to the strainer. It just sits under the press. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it attached. These minor things might not bother anyone else, they are just my personal impression, and opinion.Overall, it is a very good press, and it appears to be made well. I definitely recommend this press, especially over the clamp type. Happy pressing!!

Works well, presses the tofu nicely. Only downside I see in the foreseeable future is that the plastic flexes. Would've been better if it was thicker or made with stainless steel or something to prevent from bending. But it works and is super easy to clean and use.

No more plates with cookbooks on them! This thing is super easy to use and it really gets the water out of the tofu. I like my tofu firm. This will firm up any tofu you use. The technology is simple, there are no drips, and it holds two blocks if you put them in sideways. It seems expensive but it’s so worth it. No more crashing sound from the kitchen as a plate with books on it slides off a block of tofu! I love it so much I bought two of them, and then gave away three as Christmas presents.

“Simple Drip” is an accurate name for this tofu press. It is simple to use-just turn the two screws on either size until it’s really tight and wait about 1/2 hour. You can press it longer if you want it super dry. The tray that catches the drips detaches easily and everything cleans up nicely. I like to get as much liquid as possible out of a block of tofu and this did a much better job than my previous method of using a kitchen towel, a plate, and precariously placed cans on top of a casserole dish on top of the tofu (crazy). I’m done with the craziness and enjoying tofu that now soaks up whatever marinade I want to use.

Pressing the water out of tofu is crucial for proper cooking. I had looked at a variety of tofu presses and decided to try this one. I like that it has a built in tray to hold the water instead of having to use a plate. It takes up less space in the refrigerator than a press that has to be placed on a plate. The construction is very good and the press is made of heavy plastic. It's easy to disassemble to clean as well. If you want to improve the quality of your cooked tofu, this is the press for you. It costs less than several of the other popular models. Eating tofu is also good for you--low in fat, high in fiber and protein. This is money well spent and I'm glad I bought it.

There were so many tofu presses on Amazon that I had a difficult time choosing. I went with this one because of the drip tray. The tray is even more useful than I anticipated, because I can see how much water is released every time I tighten the screws. It helps me judge when I should stop pressing the tofu. This press is very sturdy. I can’t imagine it ever breaking. It’s exactly as pictured. I’m happy with this purchase.

The plastic is soft and bendy. It makes great tofu arches.

Disappointed! It is too small to use. It is poor value and poor service.

Einfach zu bedienen, tut was es soll und lässt sich gut reinigen. Hoffe nun, dass es auch langfristig stabil ist, dann bin ich zufrieden!

Happy with this product. Having the drip tray is fantastic as it catches the access water. Recommend for sure!
